"He never played a minute"

"He's still trash"

"He'll never be anything"

since I said what you're all going to say. All you can do now is sink in your chairs and admit that he has a ring.

HAHAHAHAHAHHAHA

HAHAHAHAHAHHAAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Yet, he'll probably sell it for weed money when he's 30...like Sam Vincent.

Hopefully this resume-builder will help him land a cushy job coaching girl's high school basketball once his contract expires, he'll contribute a lot more to basketball in that gig that he ever did for Charlotte or LA.

:g: And what was Adam's contribution to the Lakers championship other than making sure that he picked up Phil Jackson's dry cleaning twice a week?

What a bitter, bitter laugh that must have been.

The bobcats made a big mistake thinking his boo-hoo-ing at the end of that ncaa run was about passion for the game when it was obviously just a lack of mental toughness. Thats why he went into feeling sorry for himself mode last year passing up open Js and wanting out of charlotte. Clearly he can't handle the pressure of playing for a demanding coach. We can look forward to being a lot better this year because Adam won't be killing us every time he goes in the game.

^ the numbers beg to differ.

I liked him also, he was one of the reasons I started following the Bobcats, but he, sadly, didn't pan out, so why try proving everyone else wrong? Unless you're trolln', in which case it's cool. :)

He will show his grandchildren that ring and tell them great stories about how he had a great view of Jack Nicholson from his spot on the bench.

Morrison can't hack it under pressure, but luckily he has a kind teammate like Kobe Bryant now. Kobe would never yell at or put down a teammate, he'll support Ammo no matter what. He could really bring out the best in Adam, providing he actually touches the court at some point. But I forgot, LA already has their Vanilla Human Victory Cigar in Luke Walton, so Morrison should continue enjoying his ride on the ol' pine rollercoaster.

Luc Longley was a solid starter/6th man

What the hell are you thinking?

If your calling him solid I should be asking you the same question.

He's one of the best Australian players ever.

He was good enough to start or at least receive serious playing time wherever he went. Even on championship teams.

He averaged 7.5 Points and 4.9 Rebs a game over his career, which are very respectable numbers.

Saying he is awful and using him as an example of undeserving of a ring is down right IGNORANT compared to John Celestand, Linton Johnson, Pete Chilcutt and others

Longley was pretty bad, I think his numbers were more of a product of the players around him. His career didn't last very long in PHX. Okay, maybe he meant Dickie Simpkins? lol

WarioVsMooChicken
10-18-2009, 10:07 AM
No, his numbers were in spite of the players around him. All of you should know that your stats aren't NEARLY as high when surrounded by a team of greats and you're a role player.

He started nearly every game when he was with Phoenix. Why would his career length in Phoenix matter at all? Shaq only last 2 years in Phoenix, guess we should toss him to the side for that random reason as well.

Again, I'm not saying he was great BY ANY MEANS, but I am saying he was a solid player and a welcome addition to any team. If he wasn't on the Bulls, he wouldn't get as much hate as he does now.

Those people are just as undeserving. Luc Longley just took up space. Thats all the centers for the 90's Bulls ever did. He was a basic and bland role player. The ONLY reason he has a ring is Jordan. He did nothing before playing with Jordan and he did nothing after. Since when is 7 pts and 5 rebounds respectable as the starting Center on a championship team? When they have a Jordan type player to carry their space filler ass, Thats when. Luc Longley is and was garbadge.

It's respectable because he wasn't asked to do much, He was nothing more than a role player. Rodman rebounded and MJ scored. AGAIN, when playing along side all star players, your stats go down dramatically.

Also, He averaged roughly 9 points and 6 rebs during his time with the Bulls. BUT OF COURSE, you're ignorant and wont check stats, so you assume things. He got those numbers as a ROLE PLAYER and he was just fine as one.

Out of all the NBA players playing at the time, he was easily better than roughly 33-50% of other players in the NBA.

HOW can you say a middle tier play such as Longley is garbage? He would have received 15-25 on pretty much ANY team.

I've been fairly respectful when making my arguements with most people, But this is the 3rd or 4th time you've made a statement like this towards me. So look here you little bitch, Keep calling me ignorant all you want, I'll make sure I call you a lil bitch ever time you post something.

I'm sorry I bad mouthed your girlfriend Luc, But he's a bitch just like you seem to be. Stats?......U want me to check stats for someone I clearly remember was trash? Seriously, Why are you even trying to defend him? He was a sub par player on a great team. How dare you say Rodman rebounded and Jordan scored like Luc even comes close to Dennis Rodman in talent or stats....Your full of shit Little Bitch

Did I ever compare Luc to Rodman? Wow, you either fail reading comprehension or you just like to put words in my mouth. I simply said that of course Luc's rebounding stats wouldn't be as high when you have Rodman on your team.

Subpar? He was an average player, nothing more, nothing less. Again, to use him as an example out of HUNDREDS of players of his caliber who have won championship rings is either biased or ignorant.

Ghost Kat
10-18-2009, 11:12 PM
I'm sorry Little Bitch, You didn't directly compare Rodman to sorry ass Luc Longley. But by saying Rodman rebounded and Jordan scored you reduce Rodman to the same space filler role player as sorry ass Luc Longley.

Yes,there are plenty other names I could have used. But I picked two team mates from the Jordan lead championship team. How about Bill Wennington? Will you get on your little pony and ride to his defense too?

Luc Longley was not a good basketball player. Role player or not, Just like Adam Morrison the idea was better then the real thing. They both got rings on the backs of much better players. Longley atleast played, But 9 points and 6 rebounds on a Bulls team in the 90's may impress you, But not me.

WarioVsMooChicken
10-19-2009, 03:52 AM
I never said 9 points, 6 assists impressed me. I said that it didn't make him awful.

Wennington wasn't as good as Longley, but again, saying he was truely awful is just an ignorant statment. He stayed in the league as a role player for quite a long time. Not a player you'd be too ashamed with having as your 2nd or 3rd string center.

How can you comapre Longley to Morrison in the playoffs? Longly atleast played somewhat of a role and Morrison...well he didn't even play.

You keep putting words in my mouth and you're assuming things.

Also, Rodman WAS a role player but he was probably the greatest one ever. He's still WAYYY underated and he deserved to be named one of the top 50 players ever.

“It’s nice to finally make some shots in a game,” Morrison said. “You don’t know before you get out there. I had good rhythm going for a little bit. My knee feels good and I feel comfortable out there, so hopefully I can squeeze my way into the rotation.”

... ammofan must be bursting with glee right about now.
