I'd say the way things are going right now, Gerald Wallace carries this teams hopes, especially when he's grabbing like half of the team's rebounds.

Wallace needs to stop shooting so many jumpers and just keep driving to the hoop and getting to the line.

PG play is going to be what makes us sink or swim from game to game. DJ was bringing it last night and Ray found ways to be productive before everything was over after an awful start.

That's why we need to keep both, at least for this season. Each bring different strengths and weaknesses to the game and both are inconsistent. It really is a luxury to have a Plan B when Plan A isn't working at the PG spot.

I don't think anyone in the fo is considering trading DJ. We both know Ray isn't going anywhere.

Too bad a lot of our fanbase doesn't seem to recognize that. Before the TC/Okafor trade the PG debates were the biggest thing going (see DNB's thread earlier asking posters to re-affirm that we're glad both are on the team)...when in reality we should all be glad for being in the position to have 2 good PGs.

Well, I would've been okay with a trade in the offseason (depending on what came back, but I wasn't very optimistic about this teams construction), but I was mostly referring to Felton's BYC and bird right status.

Cosign..It's still early but we are 2-2. Last year, maybe 1-4. Keep every ,get everyone healthy and work from there.

Not me. I was pretty consistent all summer wanting to keep both. I'll admit I wavered at the idea of swapping DJ for Jason Thompson...but that was my only weak stretch.

McInnis and the Midget's bad taste is still lingering.

Anything with McInnis will make your eyes bleed, let alone your tongue burn.

I would like to keep both, too. I still have hope that Felton will claim the "point guard of the future" title, but with each passing game, it becomes less and less likely.

I've watched Paul play a couple of times on ESPN360, and I know he makes a lot of what he does look easier than it actually is, but I still come away thinking, 'Why can't Felton do some of that?' For example, when Paul drives into the lane off a pick and roll and ends up getting himself a very nice look at a 10-12 foot shot, I don't see why Felton can't get the same type of looks. I don't think I've ever seen Felton get a look like that. It's either a long two point shot, going all the way to the rim (to only fail), or the floater.

I have noticed that Paul's explosiveness is significantly better than Felton's. I didn't notice that during their days in college and, IMO, Felton was more explosive as a rookie than he is now. I think what's changed is that Felton's packed on weight. I would like to see him drop 10 pounds in the hope that it would add some extra quickness to his game. He could tighten up his body, too.

Possibly the only thing that's bugged me about Felton is that I've never heard of him working with a legitimate shooting coach during the offseason. In fact, I've never even heard him say anything about wanting to improve his jumpshot. Is it really that hard to become a reliable shooter from the college three-point line?

Despite this, the biggest difference I see between Felton and elite point guards is that the elite guards don't do stupid shit that just makes you scratch your head. Felton commits too many boneheaded plays in comparison. He'd have fewer turnovers and have a higher FG% if he just cut some of this out. Those two, IMO, are the biggest knocks on him. Shooting percentage much more than turnovers.

As for D.J., he obviously has the scoring ability down for the most part (I would like to see him add a floater to his game), but he doesn't play defense too well and still has trouble running an offense. Only the latter is keeping him from starting right now, IMO. I would like his defense to improve, but it's definitely not bad enough to keep him from starting. Derrick Rose was a worse defender this past season, but he logged heavy minutes as a starter. Obviously he has more potential to break out at this point than Felton.
