Im serious about hitting our shots I looked at the stats from the Xleveland game and if we would have matched in %'s as they had we would have won by 10 points... We have to improve our shooting......:cool:

It's been rough going so far. I have no idea what to write about on the blog, that's why I haven't done one. I just don't know what this team will bring. I'm a bit tired of streetball and the no look pass attempts and the "oh look i'm falling, and i think i got fouled let me toss it near the basket just in case" bs. Play defense as a unit, play offense like you're looking to score every shot attempt, complete every pass, rebound the ball and I think we've got it. Im sure Brown has been working on offence. Im hoping hes cut a few sets out . With over 50 sets this early in the season one can see why so many bad shots and turnovers.

Aside from the obvious way that outside shots help us, I think the extra scoring is making us more energetic on both ends. We're not cerebral enough to grind out low scoring wins on a regular basis. We need some of that scoring to keep our guys hungry and hawking for the ball on D.

Great game so far. Raja is a revelation and a clear spark, but everybody has been doing good stuff tonight.

Bonnell mentioned in his blog today that part of the past 3 days was spent going over old Phoenix tape to see how to get Bell and Diaw, in particular, more involved in the offense. It seems to have worked. I wonder if the same wasn't the case with New Orleans tape and Tyson, because he's been getting alley-oops and put-backs like we expect from him.

Season's young. This game gave us a lot to be optimistic about after some really bad games and the seeming meteoric rise of the Eastern Conference.

Easy to do when things are going well. Not so much when the unit is struggling.

Completely agree though. The outside shooting was great, but the energy and movement was better!

So nice to have a freaking bench! Crash logged 36, but the next most is Boris at 32, Raja at 31 and TC at 30. That's what's going to allow us to possibly make a little noise.

Unless one of the other bigs has a massive game, Wallace is leading the league in boards at something like 15 a game. Only five games, but still... impressive.

Atlanta was 2-16 from three, we were 11-18. I think that's your ballgame.

And without Thomas, and us being at full strength, I think we should at least be very close with the Bulls, if not beat them.

Watched the game at the sports bar tonight. God I held my breath when Gerald Wallace banged knees with that guy. Glad he was alright.

Great night by raja. The hawks were packing it in like crazy on D before him and DJ hit a few shots. Raja and DJ look like players that can help win games with there jump shooting. Raymond and Gerald Wallace didn't tonight aside from the one three ray hit from the corner. . Naz looked like an asset. Flip looked like a capable fill in for bell except on D. Wallace was a monster on the boards. Felton played well after a slow start shooting the ball. TC going 5-5 was also huge, but Raja was really the guy who took the pressure off everyone else

The D looks fairly good although there is considerable room for improvement. When Atl was hanging in the game they were just taking it to the baseline 2 feet from the basket and flipping it in over us. If someone is shooting it that close to the basket we need to get a block and GW eventually got a nice one. Josh Smith helped us as well by taking some ugly shots.

This is the first time I can ever remember us being over .500

Hopefully we can take some confidence from this victory and build on it.

Missed the game since of where I live, but glad we got the win.
Gratz on Bell for finding his shot, GW for another solid rebounding performance, Felton for not turning the ball over much and TC for his first DD of the season and 4 blocks (with hopefully more to come)

Well, this going home with a win stuff doesn't get old. Holy cow, 3 for 3. This is fun!!!

Needless to say, most complete game of the year and just a great team effort. Bottle this performance and we're in the postseason.

Seeing Raj drain 3s brought tears to my eyes. Flip playing like a man among gnomes in his debut was a delight. Seeing the league's leading rebounder get another 18 was awesome. Ty's first double double with 4 blocks (for all you haters, Mek had like 6 and 8 and they lost again :p) was a sight for sore eyes. All that and Derrick was activated and got some PT...not much, but some. Unfortunatly that meant Lexy was deactivated :( However, he has a fan club, which was pretty cool to see: 4 people wearing white t-shirts together spelling out AJ IN CA 21. Most excellent!

Like others've said, the ball movement was reminiscent (sp?) of last year during the playoff surge and was a thing of beauty to watch as it always is when in action.

Sucks that Chi gets us on a back to back while they rest at home, but I'll enjoy this one and hope for a franchise best start after 6 games tomorrow....tonight? WA-HOOOOO!!!!

Wow great game , Best over all game ive seen this season . What a big fan base hear last night. Not much to say except we kicked ass , The defence is for real . I don't expect any drop off at all on that side of the ball. Numbers may not reflect , but watching thease guys in person does. This is A TOP THREE DEFENCIVE TEAM IN THE LEAGUE. Im starting to expect that effert ever game now. .

If we can knock down open shots this a playoff team . Much better than any one expected.

Top two i think on the defencive side we might Edge out the Cavs.
