Charlotte Bobcats coach Larry Brown did some film study the last few days that he hopes provides some pop to his team's ailing offense.
"I watched a lot of film of when Boris (Diaw) and Raja (Bell) were in Phoenix, trying to figure out ways to get Boris more involved as a ballhandler and passer,'' Brown said after shootaround, when asked what he got out of three days between games. "And we tried to reprogram Tyson (Chandler) a little bit and get in better shape."
Brown said his decision to deactivate rookie Derrick Brown Monday versus New Jersey wasn't any indication of what he'd do going forward.
"I didn't want to disrespect an older guy (by deactivating him) at the last minute,'' Brown said. "Derrick and (fellow rookie) Gerald (Henderson) haven't done anything to disappoint me.''
Good news from the stubborn old man
