it doesnt have anything to do with buyer's remores.. george shinn is just a cheap bastard, he has the best PG in the league and doesnt want to pay the money to put the supporting cast around him..

Chris grew up wanting to play for the Hornets (Charlotte, then, of course), and his love for Winston knows no bounds, so being closer to home and family would be a big deal for him. Plus, if MJ is still here when his contract's up, there is that Jumpman connection. Still, there just needs to be some direction for the franchise and some hope or there's no way he's coming. Why jump from one sinking ship to another, you know?

Then why do the trade in the first place? Did Shinn really think Mek was the missing piece to a championship? Seems like an awfully quick change of heart to me.

Shinn traded for Mek strictly for financial reasons..no one in the org thought that Mek was the missing piece for a championship
