Ok i know i will get shot for this proposal an i am expecting a lot of "wtf" responses BUTTT hear me out on this.....then u can bash me

as most of yall have heard, there is a rumor that nola might trade okafor for kenny thomas of the kings haha...now while that is hilarious, i got to thinking, ok why would the kings do that when they have spencer hawes an jason thompson (an up an coming young an talented PF)...would they b willing to move one of the two?? i for one have loved what i have seen out of thompson this year....he's been on my fantasy team all year an i gotta say, please go look up his stats because im sure most of yall are still wondering who the hell im talking about...

now another topic that i want to bring up is our pg situation...i personally do not want to sign felton back next year...i think he tries to be the hero WAY too much...nice guy, i really love him as a person, but not who id want at the pg....much rather have dj (who would have a MUCH better salary then ray)...so, why not try an move ray, who would be a nice expiring to a team...an yes i do realize that this trade couldnt go down till december 16th or sumthin like that because of ray signing that one year tender....

sooo with all this being said, plus the fact that our team has yet to make the playoffs, maybe its because we need a fresh start...am i talking about rebuilding completely from scratch?? hell no!!! but i do think fresh faces would make a difference....an before i tell u my trade, know that gerald wallace is my favorite player an i love the dude...but everybody knows the guy cant shoot, an its showing BIG time this year...so heres my trade

Bobcats get: kevin martin, jason thompson, beno udrih, an sergio rodriguez

Kings get: felton, diaw, wallace, okafor

hornets get: kenny thomas

http://www.realgm.com/src_tradechecker/4/

-Hornets do this as a cap move...nuff said

-Kings new starting lineup:

c- hawes/ mek
pf- mek/diaw
sf- wallace/nocioni
sg-garcia/
pg-evans/ ray(expiring)

kings just got A WHOLE LOT BETTER

-Bobcats new line up:

c-chandler/nazy
pf-thompson/ UPS
sf-jackson/graham
sg-kevin martin/flip/hederson/acie
pg-dj/urih/acie

why we do this?!?!- we finalllllly get a REAL power foward...jackson can replace crash, but also adding scoring...kevin martin is definitly a rising star (he will be out up to 8 weeks, but by the time we could make this trade, he would only have like 3 weeks left)...we CAN NOT sign felton back for what he wants...that would be RETARDED...and after all that, we should be a lot more flexable in salary...

again i know this would never happen...an i know we want to make the playoffs, but lets be serious...even if we did, yall know we wouldnt go far at all...not to piss everybody off, but thats the truth... and now we have some great building blocks to work with in the future...to get us to the playoffs an contend

ok let the bashing begin haha

Don't really like it. Plus, Ray would have to approve.

Ray is not going to go for it at all. Become a back up in a contract year . Good luck getting him to approve that.

If we moving a point it's got to be DJ.

If we make a move its got to be somthing like DJ for J Hill .
If we add trash to DJ we only get more trash in return .

Or a DJ for Hickson if Clevland bit.
Its got to be somthing like that to get decent return.

Wallace , Jackson , Diaw all at about 6.8 Could switch on about any pick . With Felton shooting less this starting five could do some damage.
It might be smart to hold on to DJ. Play Lexy, Hell its no way he could be worse than Radman. All so UPS has looked good playing some P/F

does that mean u want ray as our future pg?? cuz i sure dont...its gunna be like signing okafor again...paying big bucks to a guy who is not worth his contract...imagine our same team right now, except ray making 9 mill a year or sumthin retarded like that...how could we ever get better with decent players making insane money??

I don't want either. But we can't trade Ray without his permission.

Sadly I think that's where I'm at right now as well.

Yes...yes, we did.

Wallace is the only guy on this team that I think is untouchable, and I sure hope he is...Unless we were getting Kobe, Lebron, Paul, or someone straight up, I don't think i trade Wallace, he's the heart and soul of this team and the #1 jersey seller for this team, He loves the area, and Charlotte loves him...

I wouldn't be surprised to see DJ get traded however...

This trade works too:

Emeka to Sacramento

Nocioni and Diop to New Orleans

J. Thompson to Charlotte

In the long run, it saves New Orleans, but costs them in the short run.
Bobcats save a good bit of money and get someone they can actually use.
Sacramento saves some money in the short run and gets Oak.

eh, Who knows?

Untouchable? That word shouldn't come behind the mention of anybody on this team name.. Wallace is now the second best player with the addition of Jackson. Once he becomes the third best player meaning we have Jackson and an All star caliber player. Then we will start making the playoffs and competing night in and night out. I understand the love cause he plays for the hometown team but he is as I said before the third option on a playoff team, but of course our best player which speaks for where we are as a franchise. Go Cats!

Here's something to chew on. We got a 1.85 million dollar trade exception in that deal yesterday, and if I'm not mistaken we can move either SJax or Law immediately if they aren't combined with another player.

Law's 2.22 + 1.85 = 4.07. I wonder if Minny would bite on that for Gomes? Lot's of longterm salary but I think he'll continue to be worth it. He's yet another tweener but plays PF and does pretty well in the paint.

Jackson really isn't a better player than Wallace. He's kind of like Diaw to Wallace. More skilled, but not a better player.

As for the PG situation, it's just not clicking right now for Ray or D.J. I'm still for keeping both guys, though. I'll place more value on what I saw of D.J. last season than what I've seen so far. Unfortunately, Felton also had a rookie season that would lead to great optimisim, but he's just leveled out since then. Yeah, he's become better in a few areas of the game, but he's also become worse in others (I.E. three-point shooting). Hopefully Augustin doesn't suffer the same fate. As for Felton, it's important to note that he has regularly been a better second half player than first half. The sooner he gets it going the better, but I'm confident he'll get it going.

I think Felton had a pretty decent game last night.

He gets exposed when he has to/tries to take the team on his shoulders. As we've seen for years now he's just not that guy. When he's surrounded by guys where he doesn't have to do that however he's pretty solid.

With SJax here hopefully we'll start seeing more solid play from now on.

Jackson will make Ray a better player IMO...and Diaw for that matter...

The Kings are only interested in DJ so any deal we make with them would have to have him in it...and if we wanted (and I did) Jason Thompson why didn't we draft him...:g:

The Kings become virtually the 2008-2009 Charlotte Bobcats and become a whole lot better? Man, it must suck to be a Kings fan.

I mentioned this in another thread, but here is my deadline trade if we aren't producing.

Stephen Jackson & Gana Diop (or Nazr) to Cleveland for Big Z & Delonte West - here's why it works. For us, it's a straight salary dump. Z's a big expiring, Delonte can be bought out & waived for about 500k if I remember right. Law, Graham, Murray would be off the books as well. Combine this with us letting Felton walk and Tyson possibly opting out, and we would be in the MONEY. A high lottery pick next year and a sack load of money, you are looking at a Portland Blazers-esque rebirth of this franchise.

This trade would only would happen if Cleveland is struggling and wants to go for broke this year in hopes of keeping LeBron. They won't have the money to compete with other teams and need to win a championship this year to keep LeBron from going for a bigger market and/or contender. Jackson is their missing piece and they were willing to give up Wally & Delonte for him now, so I bet they would entertain this trade if Jackson is the difference between them winning a championship or being Cleveland without Lebron or a title.

Don't read too much into my proposal though - I fully expect Jackson to work out for us and to see Charlotte as a playoff team by season's end.

Kings get: felton, diaw, wallace, okafor

So, uhm, with Felton, Diaw, Wallace, Okafor and May on the team you think that makes them better? I mean, why would we have made our moves if those players did well together in the first place?
