Welcome to the Queen City Stephen Jackson!
http://i179.photobucket.com/albums/w301/bobcatsplanet/a15.jpg
As long as you play defense and knock down shots like you're capable of then drink up... have one on BCP in fact
Now that Captain Jack has a full practice under his belt, I expect nothing less than a triple double, 78% shooting from the field and 28/31 from the free throw line against the Sixers ;)
Wednesday night Somebody is gonna get their ass kicked!!! And they will all have on Philadelphia 76er uniforms

Win for us.
95-80 in favour of the Bobcats.
Should be fine if we're able to hold down Iggy.

We need solid play from our PG's tonight. Ray and DJ need to get solid assist numbers and keep TO's very low. When our PGs produce, we win. And we are due for a good game and some good luck.

Good matchups tonight
TC, Dally should tell who sucks the worst
Brand and Diaw should be a good match up
Wallace and Iggy another good match up
Jax should have his way
Felton should have his way all so
Speights the only decent back big is out with a MCL tare. So they don't don't no back up at the Center and P/F positions
With little debth at the one two and three.

What happened to the Larry Brown Basketball the team played with at the last part of last season? I don't see the Bobcats biggest problem being a lack of talent. We saw what happens when the players buy in to what Larry is trying to teach them. These guys just are not together for some reason.

There were 3 turnovers tonight that involved an entry pass to Boris Diaw. The last one ended any chance of a win tonight. I can't take the passive nature of Boris, he is never agressive....EVER!! The first pass of the game was an entry pass to Boris...it was stolen, I will credit that turnover to Ray. The other two were entry passes from Flip that IMO Boris did not meet (agressively) and as a result led to a turnover. I promise if Boris was more agressive we would have at least 3 more wins under our belt. This passive nature atop our PGs poor play means our best playmakers on the floor are killing us. I hope to see Felton for Devin Harris next month.
Felton and Nazr for D.Harris and Najera or Yi works
I think LB and Phil Jackson are alike in the fact that they are more comfortable with the solid PG with average talent (see Eric Snow/John Paxson/Post 30 Ron Harper). I say that because LB knows that PG will do exactly what he asks b/c there is no alternative. If the PG is ultra talented he is sure to butt heads w/ LB. I think DJ and Ray are thinking entirely too much and the proof is in the pudding. DJ is not the average PG and I'm not sure if any coach can change a player at this stage. Can you imagine LB coaching Brandon Jennings???

I have similar feelings after this game as I did after the Blazers. Like Portland it is not shameful to drop one against the 6ers. Iguodala was the best player on the floor and Brand was motivated after almost losing his starting job even though Marreese Speights is out for some time. Still, these are the types of wins you have to pick up if playoffs are a serious goal. Portland was a home game against a team in the opposite conference, Philly was on the road against a non divisional foe, but while they were shorthanded and going through their own chemistry issues.
The difference between now and the Blazer loss is Stephen Jackson. This guy adds a great dynamic to the team and so far and so far seems to enjoy his new teammates and the bench staff. We will still live and die by our pg play though and I don't really know what to do about that.

Mark Jackson and Chauncey Billups are both better than average talent, but maybe not "ultra talented". Anyway, I definitely disagree that coaches can't change a player at this level.

At some point I think the PGs need to understand when to tune LB out as crazy as that sounds. I remember reading an article about how tough he is on PGs and Chauncey Billups stated eventually he had to play for himself b/c LB was never satisfied w/ his play. I'm definitely not saying don't listen b/c that will kill us and Ray/DJ's career but know when to make a play and when to run the play that's called. This really is the case for DJ b/c he does not look like the same playmaker from last year.

How many times have we blown a late game inbounds situation?

Mark Jackson's passing ability was one of a kind but LB never had to worry about him trying to take over a game. He did not have that in his bag of tricks. And as I stated Chauncey said it himself sometimes you have to let LB's rants go in one ear and out the other. Give LB Pooh Richardson, Eric Snow, or Haywoode Workman and he is fine w/ that. I think what LB needs to realize is when he had those PGs they were sharing the backcourt w/ All-Star caliber guards. I know it's not in his nature but I wish LB would take a slightly more laid back approach w/ Ray and even more so w/ DJ.

I see what you're saying. I wish we could get to the bottom of why Felton things taking over a game is in his bag of tricks if it wasn't in Jackson's. Maybe he didn't watch the Pacers as much as I did when he was developing but followed LB's Pistons so he thinks playing like Chauncey is the thing to do??

I think this issue will be solved within the next 2-3 games. Ray didn't have anyone to defer to at the end of games. Now we have a "closer" or the next best thing in Jackson so I see him taking the big shots at the end of games. Hopefully this will make us better at the end of the day (or game!). I don't want Ray to lose his agressive nature at the end of games but instead of driving to score everytime we will get some drives and kick outs for open looks for Jack and Boris (he missed tonight but hit in the Bay last year, win some, lose some).

This loss stung me. Hard. I'm sorry, but if these point guards don't start showing up and doing what a POINT GUARD is supposed to do (run and facilitate the offense) then someone needs to go. Everyone except Raymond/DJ looked good tonight. Jackson is the marquee player who can score, Gerald is the banger who will do everything under the radar, Flip is your bench man, Boris is your smooth big, Tyson looked good while he was out there, and Nazr has been rock solid the past few games.
And then we have the point guards. Raymond sucked passing the ball tonight, did his usually stupid ass drive that FAILS EVERY TIME late in the game, and we lost. The look on Gerald Wallace's face at the end of the game says everything I was thinking. We should have won that game, but our point guards failed us again.
Get Felton the hell outta here. He still has a little trade value with an expiring contract, and who knows, maybe he needs a change of pace. He holds us back, and I'd like to see him gone.

Please feel free to poke around larry coon's CBA FAQ to see how hard it will be to trade Felton considering the bird rights he'd have to void and his qualifying offer contract status.
We missed the chance to trade Felton for an asset last February.

Disappointed by the loss.I seriously don't know why Felton is trying to win the game for us. Should dish it to Cpt. Jack. Even though he wasn't shooting well, I much prefer for him to have the ball than Felton.
the biggest problem with our pg's and maybe lb's offense is that we have far too many possessions that get no where offensively and end in a shot-clock winding down heave. we spend too much time dribbling at the top, waiting for the pick at the top, waiting for everyone to get set-up and hesitating on the first pass. i counted at least 5 possessions that this happened. ray's problem is he is either way to passive or the only aggression/hurry-up he knows is to take it to the hole or shoot it himself.
...I'll sing this song again...TOs and missed FTs...the PGs both playing like crap does not help either...maybe we should all be Thrilled Law was included with Jax...

I say either trade Felton or not allow him to play the last 2 minutes of any quarter.... The Orlando game we looked damn good with Felton and DJ out of the game... LB needs to get it in his head our PG's aren't that good and have NO BUSINESS being in the game near the end of the game... I think its time to try Law at the point and see whats up with him or make a trade... I cringe every time I see Felton with the ball trying to shoot... Something has to be done if we ever want to be a winner.... Disappointing loss....
