Bobcats get- Kevin Martin, Jason Thompson, Kenny Thomas
Bobcats give- Gerald Wallace, Boris Diaw, Gerald Henderson
C-Tyson/Nazzy
PF-Thompson/Derrick Brown
SF-SJax/Graham
SG-KMart/Flip
Pg-Felton/DJ
Bobcats do this because they need a true SG and also get a young PF to build around...i know kmart is hurt, so we can start Flip in the mean time...lets be real, bobcats arent going anywhere this year, this instantly makes us younger, while still giving us a great core to work with from here on out
Pistons get- Diaw, Francisco Garcia, Gerald Henderson
Pistons give- RIP and Maxiel
C-Wallace
PF-Charlie V/Wilcox/Daye
SF-Prince/Diaw
SG-Gordon/Garcia/Henderson
PG-Stucky/Bynum
Pistons move RIP's huge contract an get a much younger an cheaper, yet talented back up to Gordon in Garcia...not to mention adding a very versatile player in Diaw who can play any position on the floor
Kings get- Gerald Wallace, Rip Hamilton, Jason Maxiel
Kings give- KMart, Jason Thompson, Francisco Garcia, Kenny Thomas
C-Hawes
PF-Maxiel
SF-Wallace/Nocioni/Omri
SG-RIP
PG-Tyreke/Udrih
You talk about a make over! Kings add veteran leadership and skills in RIP, Wallace, an Maxiel...put them with hawes an tyreke an you have a NICCCCE squad
Wait, so we give up two of our three best players, and a big part of our future, for a scorer and a marginal starter plus an expiring? Hell no.

Me too.......i was like WTF!!!!..........and i'll pass on that. I was interested till i read up to Gerald Henderson....HELL NO
Yeah, my heart definitely skipped a beat or two.
And about this trade...I think it would be absolutely terrible for the Bobcats.

Fixed.
I think if we did that, MJ would become a worse GM than Chris Wallace.

haha i posted in on realgm an everybody said the bobcats are getting the better end of the deal by far while kings fans are hating what they get...too funny...but sorry for givin yall a heart attack...but lemme just ask a few quick questions....
1)Who here feels wallace ISN'T on the down slope of his career?
2)How does moving SJAX to the SF an bring in a 30 point scorer to be our future SG not sound attractive??
3)We all know Diaw isnt a true PF...why not get a upcoming talented true PF....while shedding salary at the same time
4)If we were to get KMART, what would be the point of having gerald, if it meant adding a proven SG??
1)Who here feels wallace ISN'T on the down slope of his career?
I think he's right at the peak, for the next year or so. And him when he gets to the downslope is still above average.
2)How does moving SJAX to the SF an bring in a 30 point scorer to be our future PF not sound attractive??
30 scorer in Kmart playing PF? Lol and they say Diaw is soft down low. Nah, Jack is a mismatch at SG, but I do like Kmart. Just not in how we get this.
3)We all know Diaw isnt a true PF...why not get a upcoming talented true PF
Because Diaw is better.
4)If we were to get KMART, what would be the point of having gerald, if it meant adding a proven SG??
I'm not so much opposed to moving Gerald (either, really) as I am the value of what we get back. This is a horrible value trade. I like Kmart, I like JT, but we'd give up wayyyyyy too much.
why do u think Wallace is in decline because his scoring is down. he was never that good of a shooter to begin with plus he's averaging a double double i say HELL NOOOOOOOOOO to any trade that involves him unless there name is Chris Pual or D Wade which wont happen.

30 scorer in Kmart playing PF?
I like Kmart, I like JT, but we'd give up wayyyyyy too much.
my bad teej, fixed that to SG....an contract wise we would be saving about 4 or 5, which means adding another player in FA

Except no one wants to come here. See: Brandon Bass, Hakim Warrick, Glen Davis, et al.
Even when we throw out the money, no one comes. Flip only came because there was nothing else.

I really like Gerald Wallace and when it comes to effort, there is no one I know in the league that sacrifices his body more than wallace. I think the LB offense is a disadvantage to Gerald. He puts his head down and goes to the basket even when there is no opening which results in most of his turnovers. When the ball is rotating around the horn he hesitates on taking the jumper even when he is open. This allows defenses to pack in the paint. Defensively he is an above average defender but sometimes takes unnecessary gambles. I really love his play but getting the Sacramento players you named, I would probably do it.

For what it's worth, I ran it by the ESPN Trade Machine and it does work. The analysis :
+14 wins for Charlotte
-16 wins for Detroit
+1 win for Sac
Sure it is only hypothetical, but the trade seems to favor us, do nothing for Sac, and really hammer Detroit.

Wallace is in a little slump that doesn't mean he is in decline. He is like 4 yrs younger then jackson. If we trade anyone it is going to be Jackson again to a team that can win now not to a team like the kings.
Even in a slump Wallace is still the best player in that deal.

i think its a fair deal.
jason thompson solves our power forward hole for the next 5 years, at least. that kid is talented. martin gives us another legit 20+ scorer to pair with jax. jax moves to his natural position of sf.
still doesnt solve our awful pg problems though. [sigh]

I think it's more than fair for us. Sac is getting abused in that deal. Unless their goal is to get older players with bigger contracts and be stuck in mediocrity forever.

yeah, i dont see any motivation for the kings in that deal. i'm sure they are stoked with jason thompson.

Diaw is useless he can't rebound and is a pussy in the paint i'm sick of him.The kings would never make this trade anyway not with the way JT has been playing

exactly why i think some of you guys are really over rating gerald wallace...yes he's a good hustler, can rebound out this world and plays great D....BUT...in THIS trade, we are getting back MUCH better value
