View Full Version : Team Stats so far
Felton for Prez
11-24-2009, 03:20 PM
I'm bored on a conf call and noted a few things.
2nd worst in scoring
2nd worst in FG%
WORST in FGA (I guess given how we shoot, that's not a bad thing)
WORST in FT% (why are we paying Capel?)
18th in FTA
2nd most turnovers (forcing 11th most)
27th in assists
2nd worst assist/TO
2nd worst 3pt%
20th in 3pt attempts
26th in blocks (2nd most blocked)
10th in technical fouls!!
A lot of the defensive numbers are good (didn't include those), so at least we have that going for us. Like I said, it was interesting and I was bored.

All that and the Nets are 0-14.....
We are not the worst team even though the stats might tell a different story

We have those stats because we have the worst point guard pair of all time.

No McCinnis doesn't play for us anymore
We have those stats because of the (for lack of a better term) offense we've run up to this point...I really hope that changes after the game tonight (Raptors) game...we can be good offensively if we take advantage of the athletes we have...and we do have them...
playoffs...PLAYOFFS?

and we did... i wonder if this is the start of the turnaround or just a fluke...i hope that we're turning the corner..although i was disappointed many times last season
The difference for me this year vs. last year...I really did not think we had the athletes...but this year we do...I think Nazzy, UPS, Hendo, Flip give us a very solid bench...and we needed a solid NBA guy that could go for 20+ppg on any given night and still play solid defense and we have that with Jax...
The only thing that will make this a flike is if LB tries to force us back to a half-court team...but I doubt that since the guys still played solid "D" and even he (LB) seemed to enjoy this game...so here is hoping he lets them play...

Scoring points is an ago old problem with the Cats. Defensive effort has never been lacking, except maybe under the Biscuit, but other then that the Cats have play'd good D. This team has never had a big time scorer. Richardson, Maybe, But I watched plenty games where He couldn't hit shots in the clutch. This team finally has some offensive players, plus that same defensive energy.

If he hits three out of his next four 3PT attempts, he'll be at 40 percent!
