Hey, I'm a frequent viewer of the forums but rarely post...I have followed the bobcats ever since they began...great 4-game winning streak going :)
What should be done with Acie Law? I think he could potentially be a very good pg in the league, I figure why not give him a shot?..although I doubt he will he used and likely will be gone by at longest the end of the year.
Thoughts?

keep him! He showed he has lots of potential and can run our offense.
I think we are giving DJ such heavy minutes lately because we are trying to showcase him in order to trade him for a power forward. This is just based on my observations, nothing more. But IF we do trade DJ, we need Acie Law. I think he will be a good contributor if we give him a chance.
I think he is being given the time to really understand the offense...not being thrown to the wolves so to speak...I think he intrigued LB and will be given a solid look...especially before he is traded...
I think there are many who question (within the FO) DJ ever becoming a starting PG and because of that AC will get his looks...we have no number one pick next year (I think it goes for the AA fiasco pick) and because of that the talent we have in-house will be looked at closely and not wasted...just my opinion...

Since he's an expiring contract he'll surely be kept if not traded. Waiving is not an opiton. But I don't see any problem with keeping him, injuries may force us to have extra bodies and I'd prefer him any D-League call-up.

I think the guy is ok but if you can get something for him, I'm all for trading him. Kind of off topic but I read on Lexi's facebook that he is being sent to the D league. He was not happy either. haha. I guess it will do him some good since he's not playing for us. He looked like he is getting a lot better.
If Lexy was getting better...coupled with our need for a big back-up PF...I don't he'd be going to the D-League again...it seems he fits the description of "wasted pick" at this point...and with the struggle the coaching staff had with extending him he'd better start showing real progress...as in not looking lost on defense when he is on the court...

How long did it take for Dontell Jefferson to get minutes when we picked him up last year? Did he play at all during his first 10 day contract? I think LB likes to take time with his PGs, but regardless I don't think Law sees consistent minutes unless DJ gets injured.

Trade DJ for a solid combo PF/C and make Law share back up PG minutes with Flip.

I agree, maybe it is time to see if we can trade DJ and DIOP or DJ and AA for a Banger 4. After watching the Boston beatdown tonight ( allthough nobody could hit shots but diaw and nazr ) it is apparent we need someone to be able to handle the bigs a little better, which would spread the floor out a little between the 4 and Jax.
Couldn't we pick up Antoine Walker as a 4? With minutes he was decent, and we could get him cheap. He and Nazr are friends and they may mesh well.

If we can grab Walker we could dump someone for a draft pick or something. Now I am not saying Walker is the perfect fit, but he is cheap and he can avg 15 and 5 and we could get him for cheap.
I'd take a rain-check on Walker since he takes a rain-check on defense...
