Maybe if I didn't see this one likely coming down the pike, I would be taken as aghast as most of y'all, but really, the Nets aren't that bad when they're healthy, we suck on the road, they had everything to prove tonight for a new coach, they knew they could beat us (or at least compete long enough to have a chance to win), and that's just how things work.

Phenomenal effort games by 4 starters, but pathetic, unforced TOs and the usual putrid FT shooting were enough to doom the team. Not to mention stupidass fouls at the end of the 2nd and 3rd giving the Nets 4 free points (since they can actually take advantage of foul shots).

I agree the rotation was flawed again. It was apparent fairly early Graham nor Flip were on, yet we still never saw Derrick, DJ or Henderson. I don't know if any of them had injuries or not, but it was puzzling due to the ineffectiveness of Graham and Flip.

If anything, the last 7 days have taught us that anything can happen with the Bobcats: a win versus a surging Cavs team as well as a loss to a team with a historically bad record to start the year; it's just one of the myriad crosses we bear as Bobcats fans...

But really, a win Saturday puts this loss out of sight and mind....for me at least, so I'll be on hand hoping for that!

Put it this way though if we lost to the worst team in NBA history with our starting 5 playing 40 plus minutes how the fuck are we going to win against Philly unless LB pulls his head out his ass and plays the bench(not Flip) some.

Everyone says they are "the worst team in history" but I think they are actually better than the T'Wolves and Knicks at least. A loss is a loss, time to start looking at Philly.

I try not to be a knee jerk fan, but with the trade of Jackson, I don't think we need what Diaw has to offer. More over, we're suffering by not having a real 4 play at the position and give us more of a presence. If he nets (no pun intended) a real 4, I say trade him.

Though, if he gets his act together, I don't mind keeping him.

See tho, I still think he's perfect IF he'd do what we all know he can do. He can be a wizard with that ball in the paint...yet lately he won't take it into the paint. He's the only big we have who can drain the 3 and he's still helping the ball move (6 assists I think last night). He and Crash compliment each other perfectly in regards to rebounding (Boris blocks out, Crash gets the board).

This not bringing it consistently tho is killing us. Mek never developed the instinct and Boris...tho given EVERY opportunity to make this team hasn't developed it either.

That's pretty much the issue. We've got three guys who are consistently busting their butts out there and a fourth who is starting to bring it. For our team to be successful, everyone has to trust each other and believe in each other. Granted, we could say the same for Felton that I'm saying for Diaw. However, I don't think Felton's effort is ever questioned so much as his decision making. I just don't want the team to implode because of attitudes. We've taken some chances on guys like Chandler and Jackson who aren't as patient as some of the guys we've had on this roster. I just don't want this team to turn into a blood mess, loaded with bad contracts that we can't move.

You're right about Diaw's shooting, passing, and boxing out. Ideally, the PF we acquired would have a reasonably good outside shot, but I have realistic expectations for what we get in a trade.

Last season Diaw did a LOT of what he was capable of. He's had a handful of good games this season, just not in the last few weeks.

He's just the kind of guy whose emotions easily affect his game.

That really doesn't fit in with the great defense, enough offense persona the team is adopting. In mid January Acie Law becomes tradable (leaving options other than packaging DJ), if Diaw isn't out of his mood by then something has to be done.
