We trade DJA to Miami for their 27th pick.
Trade 2nd pick to NO for their 4th and 10th pick.
2012 Bobcats Draft
4th - SG 6'4 Bradley Beal
I am alittle hesitant of drafting a 6'4 SG this high that didnt completely dominate in college. But he is a lot better than Henderson so im ok with it. He will be a solid pro imo
10th - PG 6'2 Damian Lillard
I really like Lillard. This guy can score the rock and shoot! Him and Kemba would make for a great pg combination.
27th - PF 6'9 Andrew Nicholson
Needs to add some weight but this guy is a very polished scorer in the post.
31th - Point Forward 6'7 Draymond Green
Plays alot bigger than he is. Nice skill set for someone his size. Rebounds, passes, shoots. Does it all.
Would love this lineup.
PG: Lillard / Kemba
SG: Beal / Hendo
SF: Hendo / Mag / Brown
PF: Green / Thomas / White
C: Biz / Mullens

I see this guy turning into a 20ppg scorer nxt year for GS.

For a guy that can break / beat his man off the dribble at will he needs to be getting in the lane and either taking the shot if given or dish it off to his teammates when the help defense comes on every offensive possession.

Today it dawned on me that the NBA must have asked us to switch or had a hand in the design....
Don't these all look too similar? I would think the NBA would shy away from multiple team using the same basic design and just changing the mascot to match the team they are designing?
Twolves, Grizzlies, and Bobcats.... All animals, all direct frontal shots, all half face light colored to the left, all dark colored to the right.

Sun, 13 May 2012 23:43:49 GMTSorry, this is a reach. But I'm bored.
Scenario?:
We grab Brad Beal or Jeremy Lamb in the draft, and he's darn good right away, but not big enough to defend the 3-spot.
Gerald Henderson comes back as good or better next season.
DJ leaves.
We obtain a 6'7"ish Point Guard who can defend Small Forwards.
This enables us to have Beal/Lamb and Henderson on the court together for extended minutes.
This enables Kemba to play some off the ball while still being allowed to defend PG's on the other end.
perimeter rotation:
Point Forward guy: 32 minutes
Kemba: 32 minutes
Henderson: 32 minutes
Beal/Lamb: 32 minutes
Derrick Brown or other backup SF: 16 minutes

Fri, 11 May 2012 22:01:51 GMTOkay guys, seeing as how this draft and the next few (at the very least) are going to be instrumental in our team's improvement, I've felt like it deserves some serious attention. I'm working on a few different things behind the scenes, but unfortunately I'm going to be bogged down with stuff for awhile so I'm going to need some help. As such, I'm going to need at least a couple of people to help out.
Looking for you to be:
pretty knowledgeable of the college game
knowledgeable of the Bobcats and the team/FO history
willing to do some internet research
able to devote some time at least once a week to working on this stuff
If there are any volunteers, then send me a PM.
If there are any questions, feel free to ask.

Im praying we get either the 1st or 2nd pick and get either Anthony Davis or Thomas Robinson.
MKG has a TERRIBLE shot and barely averaged double digits last year. Not worth a top 5 pick imo.
Beal is undersized, didnt shoot great from 3 last year, and didnt really dominate last season. Not worth a top 5 pick imo.
Lamb is a decent prospect but like Beal didnt really dominate like you would want a top 5 pick to.
The only wing player I can slightly justify taking that high is Barnes due to his combination of size, college production, and shooting ability. Im just concerned about his handle though.
With that said, I hope we get either Davis or Robinson and pick up a wing later in the draft. Would be be safer to work out some trade to get back into the 1st due to the chance of one of the good wings not being there when we pick in the 2nd.
Now, lets look at the other wings that are projected to go late 1st - 2nd round. Im gonna list them in order of preference.
1) SF Quincy Miller 6'9 210
PPG: 11.1
FGA: 8.4
FG: 44.7%
3FG: 34.8%
FT: 81.6%
Didnt live up to expectations but has a ton of potential. Decent outside shoot.
This guy is just a dead eye shooter. Averaged over 40% from 3 every year in college. Averaged almost 20ppg his last two years. Has a nice step back jumpshot and is craft in getting his shots off.
3) SG Doron Lamb 6'4 170
PPG: 13.2
FGA: 9.2
FG: 47.4%
3FG: 46.6%
FT: 82.6%
Good shooter and play maker. Would have def averaged more points if it wasnt for being on a loaded team.
4) SG Kevin Murphy 6'7 185
PPG: 21.1
FGA: 16.3
FG: 44%
3FG: 41.6%
FT: 72.1%
Small school player, but has great size. He can shoot it and put the ball in the basket.
Another small school player. Guy was a do it all player for his team and really produced in college. For some reason his FT shooting took a hit his last yr (previous 80%).
I honestly think it will come down to Jenkins or Lamb with our 2nd pick. With the possibility to Quincy Miller and Kris Joseph.
