Collins going to D-League...Hendo and UPS next?
From Bonnell's blog today: http://blogs.charlotte.com/inside_th...st-pacers.html I didn't include the part about TTime most likely missing the game Friday night :facepalm:

Also Thursday, the Bobcats decided to send rookie Sherron Collins for a stint with the Development League Maine Red Claws.
Collins, the team’s third point guard, has played briefly in two of the Bobcats’ last five games. Brown said this is a chance for Collins to play a lot and improve his game-conditioning.
Collins said he welcomed the chance to get in more run.
In Collins’ absence, Boris Diaw or Stephen Jackson would be the emergency third point guard, behind D.J. Augustin and Shaun Livingston.
Brown indicated it’s possible other Bobcats might also do a D-League assignment. Brown didn’t mention any names but the only two players seemingly young enough for that to make any sense would be second-year pros Gerald Henderson and Derrick Brown.
I think it's a great move for Collins, and I wonder if it would help the confidence of Hendo and UPS (not that either of those two were specifically mentioned). I for one, was pleasantly surprised with Hendo and UPS in the Summer League (which is about the equivilant to the D League during the season). With the reduced travel budget for the Maine Red Claws, maybe all 3 come back even hungrier (for bball minutes Sherron).
Thoughts?
