This may be the last time anyone sees Derrick Brown play in a Bobcats jersey.
Be there for the memories. Be there for the lulz.
Final chance for UPS, make or break time young fella. What you got? Please bring more than dunking.
Time to find this years Theo/Juwan. Any ideas?
I admit he's had a couple big games for us this year, and his shot blocking will be missed dearly, but I don't think it's all that much of a setback. Admittedly, I've never been big on Tyrus, so I guess that skews my view on the news a bit, but really, losing Tyrus Thomas won't affect out playoff chances one way or the other. What sucks is the loss of depth in an area where we weren't deep to begin with. Derrick Brown? Ugh. If you don't get PT under Larry, that's one thing; if you don't get PT under Paul, you don't deserve it. The bright spot is, maybe this injury opens up the possibility for dealing Jack? Please?
In short, the injury hurts, but isn't a crusher. Go Cats! (oh, and trade jack)
I agree. Tyrus was never consistent enough in the first place. Its hard for me to consider his injury a huge loss. If he could stay out of foul trouble or in favor with the coaches long enough to stay in the game, it was always more of a "Surprise! Tyrus is playing well" sort of thing.
I'd rather call up some guys from the D-League than pick up some old vet though. You never know, we might get lucky and find a serviceable young role player.
I need a new sig :(
anyone else wonder if this is how the injury really went down? I find it weird to go to sleep and wake up with a torn meniscus... I'm just saying... You would probably know if you at least hurt something...
tyrus does commit his fair share of donk plays that make you stare at the tv in disbelief, but he does have the most consistent mid-range shot on the team. another part of it is our guards need to do a better job in the KYP department. "know your personnel". alot of times thomas is given the ball when he can't handle it or is too far from the rim.
