Yeah, no kidding. Barring major ACL surgery, I'm not worried about Noel at all.

How often does McClemore beat his man off the bounce with the ball to create his shot? All the highlights I see of him are 95% dunks and jumpshots.
Would be alittle concerned with drafting someone that high as a SG that didnt have good handles / one on one moves.
If he can prove to everyone about his ball handling ability than he would be my number 1 choice. At the moment I am still torn between him and Bazz.
noel hurt. may effect draft big time.

Literally EVERYBODY should read this article, just a great read, it had be transfixed.
Good read. I hadn't had time to really watch mclemore play his year. From the article, he seems like a shy kid who likes to keep to himself, but has his head on straight.
Someone coming from his background understands how fragile their situation is and that it could be taken away if you make the wrong choices. And it seems he doesn't run with the wrong crowd, so we shouldn't be worried that he falls into an unhealthy lifestyle.
The only issue I have now (which could change depending on his tourney run) is that all his coaches characterize him as a pleaser and not an assassin. If we get the top pick, do we want to spend it on someone who needs to be prodded to go for the kill, or prefers to just fit in? I guess Kemba does have the alpha mentality, so it could work here and he could play off of that.
Either way, it'll be great to have the option between him and Bazz, especially at a position where we can substantially upgrade.
Agree with everything you said. The part that gives me hope with his shyness/lack of killer instinct, is that all along the way he eventually became whatever it was that was expected. He needed a little guiding hand to help him, but each time the bar was set higher, he achieved it. I too believe that March Madness will be a huge stage to showcase his true colors. In that article it says that he has set the record for PPG as a Kansas freshman which is amazing considering the talent that has rolled through Lawrence. Regardless, that was a great read.
can't delete message so just going to edit
noel tears ACL. probably not in draft this year or def not #1. good news is that next year's draft just got alot stronger if he is able to bounce back.
Hate that for the young man. He was def going to be Top 3 pick. Think there is a good chance he plays another year of college ball or decides to go pro anyway and know he will drop some picks down the line?

With the No. 1 Pick MJ and Cho take who?

Probably Ben McLemore. He's a very good fit to them with Kemba Walker on one side and MKG on the other. Anthony Bennett is the other guy that might make a lot of sense for them at the 4.
