Hollinger is insinuating that ORL's new GM was pushed to the side...Devos supposedly wanted this particular deal. Nice way to start out you new GM job eh?

All the latest tweets about Houston's offer said they weren't taking back bad contracts, just giving cap space by not sending as much back.
EDIT: Think about it from Houston's perspective, if Howard walks you're just as bad as the Magic are now after the trade, if you take on their contracts. Not worth it.
yeah, that is what i was thinking when the rumors started. so, i guess from what orlando was after this wasn't horrible. that is the difference between what actual gm's do and what fans think. although, i am not sure why they didn't move turk instead of jason richardson.
Think there's a buyout clause with Turk.
Ain't that the truth. And I thought the playoffs in the East were weak last year - Bulls without Rose, Orlando without Howard, Philadelphia making it to the second freaking round, Miami still managing to trounce people without Bosh and with Wade on one leg. Meanwhile, the West is even more stacked.
I agree with the consensus that, at least in the moment, the trade looks pretty bad for Orlando. Part of that is with rumors of other trades being offered. Maybe those trades were exaggerated. You never know what really was offered. But compared to the Deron Williams and Carmelo Anthony deals, sheesh.
Orlando is gonna be like how we were this year. Sucks for them it truly does.
