You don't get it dav. Hendo is our #1 option by default, due to a lack of talent, but he would never be a #1 option on a winning team. That's why many of us don't want to give him some silly $40+ million contract when he's best suited as a role player.

BPA is the biggest need.

But the point is that at some point in time, we're going to need a reliable star perimeter player that can get us ~25 on a nightly basis. Difference making big men are becoming rarer and less featured in the ever expanded perimeter-oriented NBA.

Thanks Sweed, , Thats all ive been traying to say . The number 1option on this team , right now. As far as value , Hes not a max contract for sure. And the market changed lots starting last season , DJ 3.5 FOR 2 YEARS THINKING 7 PER , though Sessions seemed a tad high at 2 at 5 per, Think i read thet Batun got 7 per . If signing early im guessing 4 years at 5 per, though i think he lets his season dicate his value. Then i think he can go any where between three and 10 per depending on how well he plays.

I understand a need for a scoring wing but if all things are equal when we pick we have to go big. I could us really going after Harden hard in free agency..

clipper-sg

rockets- sg move martin 2 small or hendo at small
bucks- small
blazers-sg

thats majority of the lg he can start for and at the least avg 15 points(except bucks,knicks,clips,and lakers)

Hendo is in no way, shape, or form a SF. So let's go ahead and remove the Pistons, Wizards, Lakers, Rockets, and Bucks.

Hawks--Doesn't start unless they prefer to run both Morrow and Lou Williams off the bench. In other words, doubtful.

Mavericks--they just brought OJ Mayo in and have given him the starting job. No.

Knicks--Shumpert. No.

Bulls--Yes.

Cavs--Waiters. No

Grizzlies--Tony Allen is vital to that team's success. No.

Jazz--Alec Burks and/or Gordon Hayward. No.

Clippers--Chauncey Billups. No.

Celtics--Avery Bradley, Courtney Lee, and/or Jason Terry. No.

Suns--They just brought in Wesley Johnson, so they seem to be somewhat interested in playing him. I'll give you a maybe.

Blazers--Wesley Matthews. No.

In other words, he could definitely start for the Bulls, and maybe for the Suns or Hawks. You need a lot more training

blazers- wesley is nothing but a spot up shooter doesn't offer much and he came off a real down year.

celtics- lee (journey man) ,terry will never start again, bradley defensive prowess(hendo can play the same d but better scorer)

grizzles- allen and gerald are almost identical on defense except hendo is far superior scorer.

dallas- mayo wasn't even highly sought after in free agency so when ppl(general nba fans) think of mayo they think high school star ,or college phenom when nba executives think role player,selfish,and not much of a defender. hence the 2 yr baby deal . also mayo was benched for allen , and hendo can do everything allen can .

clippers- forreal billups , ur trolling now . at this point billups is just a spot shooter

jazz- alen burk haven't remotely proven that he is a nba starter. i love the contradiction that you think an unproven player can start over hendo, but at the same time hendo is an proven nba starter who u think haven't proven him self over an 2nd yr player prospect?

cavs- waiters isn't even the starter plus they are already worried that he may be out of shape for the season.and he's had an horrible summer lg and preseason isn't starting off to good either.you can google his weight issues .

knicks- shumpert only offers defense(hendo is just as aggressive ,better scorer) plus he has a serious injury ,thus them signing brewer and hendo can definitely start over brewer

suns- time and time again wesley isn't a sg , he's more of a shawn marion/wallace type player who at sg experiment failed in minni. wesley college stats resembles that of a pf/sf type player and they just forced him to play sg cause of his size and not his mindset. brown is a 6th man at best , he can't create for others or himself . but highlight waiting and good 3 point shooter.

um fun fact hendo plays/played sf ,so you can't cancel him out because ur opinion is that he can't play it when in reality he is .

i dnt think horford is a real center but i cant discredit him at center, and i dnt think westbrook is a real pg but a sg who's talents exceeds that of a normal player which causes him to play out of position but facts are facts and the reality is that they are the position they play .
