In school those that do not catch on as fast as others usually get passed through regardless. There is nothing special about special education. You simply go to school to fill a quota and make teachers some money.

If you felt that people were being sensitive about your comments toward the illiterate members that would seem misguided.
If your statement was in regards to team oriented stuff than I have no clue. I do know that people can be overly sensitive to rational criticism of their teams sometimes. It is actually worse when their team is winning. Than it seems the team is above any rational critique.
Case in point. I am a Houston Texans fan and I warned people of the debacle that happened to them Sunday night against the Packers. They were sensitive to reality as well.
I understand it because it is the nature of being passionate and supporting your team. I overlook some of the sensitivity.
I would simply say that we should not look down on people who are not as literate as ourselves. Illiteracy is a major issue in this country and has been for a long time. No matter how much attention is given the issue nothing seems to change. There has to be some accountability on the part of the teachers.
Try to be more sympathetic to those who are not as literate as yourself.
