^Andrew Harrison is a PG and without a doubt potential top 3 pick
Andrew Harrison is a PG only by default due to playing alongside his brother, Aaron, who was a SG. I've seen him play in person twice and I would consider him more of a combo guard that will make for a better SG than a PG. His game reminds me of Rodney Stuckey or Dion Waiters. If you think Kemba overdribbles or has tunnel vision, wait until you get a load of Harrison. That's just my evaluation of the kid.
You're crazy.
I think Hendo will ultimately go the way of our other FAs in the recent past...but this time I hope we get something for him. Raja Bell to me is the type of SG that we need and Hendo ain't it...esp. with MKG just joining the team. As others have said I just don't see those two mixing all that well.
I wouldn't dare compare his future to that of Rose or Westbrook either. That's rare air to breathe. Like I said, I've seen Harrison play in person. He's John Wall as a PG at best, but yet he's not even the specimen that Wall was coming out of high school. As a matter of fact, a better comparison of Harrison would be Tyreke Evans instead of Wall. I wish Harrison the best of luck. I'm not trying to knock the kid, but I'm not going to overvalue him just because he's next up.
You misunderstood me.
I'm not saying he's that talented, just that his style of play doesn't necessarily make him a SG. It seems like he's more of the new age PG than the traditional one. He could play SG in the NBA if he wanted to, but he's going to be just fine as a PG and will be drafted as such considering he's going to run point in college
My thoughts are that we got shitted out of the #1 pick
My fault. I did misinterpret what you were trying to say, but even what you are saying can be somewhat debatable because if Ryan Harrow returns for his junior season like I expect him to, I think you would see Harrison playing combo guard as the starting SG at Kentucky. Either way, discussing the Bobcats, as a fan I would much rather see Harrison play a SG alongside Kemba as the PG than Harrison playing the PG alongside Hendo as the SG if it came to that decision.
I really don't have anything to add about his play, since I haven't seen him play outside the 1 summer league game. I will repeat what I said before the draft though, this team needs scoring and well, he doesn't provide that. I think he's gonna struggle to score and IMO you can't be a superstar which a #2 should be unless you can score. He's a good kid so I really hope I'm wrong and in a couple of years, I think I will be but in the short term I think he's gonna struggle, alot.
Great Defender, great rebounder, horrible shooter. One of the ugliest shots I've ever seen and I see him getting blocked a lot if he doesn't fully commit to the change. Wasn't a big fan of him when we drafted him, but I'll cheer for him and hope for the best. For a team that needs offense, we certainly don't have any, what I would consider good scorers.
