That said, Kemba will pass him. I know a couple folks around here love to hate Kemba, and have completely written him off already, but judging him based on last season is ridiculous. No coaching, no team, no one even tried to play competitive basketball.... except Kemba. No hype, hes got a long way to go, but if you can't watch him and see that he can do anything most great point guards in the league can do (especially with the garbage surrounding him last year) then we are obviously watching different games.
As a caveat, how many PGs that didn't eventually become top 3 at their position start out with as crappy a team as we've consistently assembled and did well?
This thread was started a couple of years too early IMO..
Kemba may prove to be the best one day, but as it is, he might not even be the best PG on this current team.
Sessions is better right now IMO, they are different players and Kemba will have good games but Sess is consistent and will take minutes away from Kemba this season for sure. Unless the first year head coach goes into tank mode. Ill give Kemba an edge on D but he is far from a 'lock-down' defender.

sorry but kemba has shown very little ability to see the p&r develop and no consistency to either hit the roll man or the off man open from the defensive rotation at all. this is a fundamental element of the nba game. this what needs to develop in his second year. if it does not, i predict he will end up being the 6th man role most predicted him to be.Quote:

Oh, I must have misunderstood your question. I thought you were asking us to name a player(s) that has became a top 3 PG that started off on a team as crappy as ours. Actually, Kemba had a better rookie season statistically than Rajon Rondo. We as Bobcats fans have to have patience with him. There are bigger problems to be addressed than our PG situation. We have young players that were picked ahead of Kemba that are currently showing way more question marks in Biz & MKG.Quote:
