Never before has the use of :violin: been more fitting
I was tweeting back and forth with Bonnell about thi, Rick even called me a homer. Rick seems to think it was such an egregious error that the NBA ad to apologize.... I just don't see it.
Did he foul him? Yes
Did it warrant a clarification from the league?
Hell No!
I didn't see an apology after LeBron fouled Durant at the end of game 2 of the finals and that was worse than this and it was the F'N finals.. This was game 10 of an 82 game season and the same contact will be a non call 1,000 times over the course of the season.
Raptor fan's are always saying "the refs, the refs!" I hate people that do that. Everybody gets cheated out of fouls sometimes..The refs aren't PERFECT there still people they miss out on calls every game..Happens all the time. Nothing to whine about thought
They had 5 chances that last possession. Missed call or not - they had plenty of chances at winning.
I don't really see the need for it either. There were PLENTY of things for the league to apologize for in that game if the last play deserved one. The only slightly possible reason I can think of is that the NBA has warned this crew about their performance enough times that they felt the need to publicly denounce their judgement. That's just a wild guess, and even if true, not really a good reason to issue a public apology on a missed call.
there are 82 games in a season, highly doubt this will make a big difference in the raptor's season. i would feel the same if we had been on the other side. now, if it had been the playoffs, totally different story. we should expect ref errors in every game, you hate for them to occur in the final seconds, but the probability of those occurring are small and far in between. raptors will get a chance to play us again.
