Lol I respect that. I will still love the Bobcats till the end of time but all this hype around bringing the Hornets back has got me excited, I remember going to the games as a kid watching B Diddy dunk on the competition.Quote:

Corb's you won't make a lot of headway here, although it seems that the vast majority of Charlotte prefers the Hornets name, this is a Bobcat dominated board. (although a lot of people on this board, myself included are Pro Hornets)
I would assume Most of the Pro- Hornets guys around here have already signed the petition.
I will agree with you about supporting the Bobcats and still wanting the Hornets name back.
The bringbackthebuzz guys and John Morgan have started more NBA related conversations in Charlotte than would have existed had they sat on their hands and did nothing. Kudos to them for having a vision and fighting for something they wanted.
BTW, it was a different era when the Hornets were selling out those all those games. Back then it was the place to be...now there are other distractions.
The older you get the more you realize you really can't turn back the clock nor can you go back home.
I suspect Jordan will anyway though...in the end it'll be about the money and it "appears" there's more to be had under the old tainted monicker.

I feel the same way. I do not know much about the Charlotte Hornets, but I can claim to be a Cats fan since day one. The Bobcats have started a history and it should continue, renaming the team back to the Hornets would just kill off the Bobcats lagacy (as if the Cats never existed in the league).Quote:

Thats one thing that was always offputting and disturbing to me about the Bring Back the Buzz movement, its a bunch of mid 20-30 year olds that miss their youth and nostalgia for something they loved as a kid, and they want to force it back on everyone else, even those that have liked the Bobcats since they were kids. Basically doing the same thing they are so mad about to a new generation.
If you mention that to them they just respond with "durr no kids ever liked the Bobcats, who cares" or the classic "they're kids, they don't care what the name of the team is" they don't realize the irony as they are still completely devestated to this day about "losing their Hornets" a decade later.
overall its definitely a douchey, weird organization
and yes I'm an adult that lived through the Hornets in Charlotte
