I don't love that pass he made
then again I don't love putting him in that situation where he has nobody to pass to. get it together guys
Love MKG
Why did Kemba pass it????
Rookie of the Month!
just a bunch of young guys (and ben gordon) making learning mistakes. mkg killing his dribble for no reason then having to try for a cross court pass. kemba trying to split the pick and roll and turning it over when he didn't have to go hero mode in that instance. just a good learning experience for everyone. notice how much harder the possessions get when the game winds down. that is where these young guys have to learn on the fly.
was going to post a thread, but this is as good a place as any.
i think mkg is the BEST finishers that the bobcats have ever had. he is so good at finishing through contact, using his spiderman arms to "hang" in the air (he finished over tyson chandler this way). i would still like to see him bang on folks, but i can't complain too much as long as the shots are falling. in this regard he is already way way better than crash.
Co-sign.
This was a big difference from the final game last season(also against the Knicks). You can see how much we've improved. These losses suck but, honestly it's for the best long term.
1: our players learn how to finish and how tough the last 5 minutes on an NBA game are.
2: we will ultimately miss the playoffs and keep our pick but, at least the losses are blowouts like last season.
When the defenses tighten up we struggle to score...that's nothing new. One of the things that do occasionally work is Kemba on the P&R & Kemba splitting the double team to drive (remember we're a run & rim team). Hendo took 2 very contested fadeaway to one side shots too but I don't fault him for it either because typically we just can't put the ball in the hole.
That's going to take some seasoning for both the players and the coach.
As DY would say I ain't even mad. We played a great game overall and it's a big plus that this team was even there with a chance.
Didn't mean to derail the thread though.
Isn't it amazing that everyone knows MKG doesn't have much of an outside shot but he STILL gets into the paint and converts? I had some doubts about him but not now. I'm about as excited as I've ever been about a draftee of ours.
