Olynyk was a point guard in high school who sprouted up to 7'0" really quickly. Gotta love those guys. That explains his offensive feel, but it might also explain his lackluster shotblocking and rebounding.....

Actually T-Rob would be 6'9" in normal shoes, just to help your point even further. But I think it's too early to put the nail in the coffin on T-Rob being that he's only a rookie dealing with a lack of parental support....Quote:

I don't think Bennett and T-Rob are a fair physical comparison.
T-Rob is 6'9"(the NBA goes by shoe height) and very muscled. Bennett is 6'8"(We hope) and very BROAD. Bennett has some muscle, but it's really his big-boned body with broad shoulders that give him his physicality. Bennett has the potential for more muscle(probably even more than T-Rob) if he wants it, but he doesn't really need it. He's already at 240 lbs. and that will do for a perimeter power forward.
They have significantly different skill sets. Bennett is much more like a Wing offensively. Bennett could quite possibly be the ballhandler OR the picksetter on the pick-and-roll/pop. T-Rob is only a picksetter in that scenario. T-Rob IS a much better rebounder, but Bennett has rebounding potential.
Yeah, it's interesting how people have already written off T-Rob. The guy is averaging 12 rebounds per 40 minutes, so he's playing as advertised in that regard. He's just not getting a lot of run. I'm not sure what the heck goes on out there in Sacramento with young players.Quote:

lol T-Rob is a huge bust! Two double doubles don't erase a terrible half a season. One of those double doubles was a 10 pt 10 rebound effort. It took him 7 shots to score six of those points and 10 free throws to score the other four. Not that impressive.Quote:

MKG was supposed to be the better prospect and T-Rob was supposed to be more ready to step on an NBA court and contribute more. But the reality is, MKG is also a way better player now then T-Rob. Robinson might be good down the line, but right now he has one skill, rebounding. He is so bad at everything else he can barely get on the court to show it even on a terrible team like the kings.
We dodged a major bullet by picking MKG instead of going with the popular fan choice. Huge win by the front office.
I think half a season is way too soon to label any of these players as busts. On a team desperate for scoring MKG would be looking like a bust for us right now in a lot of ways but i still think he's young and will be ok. I think t-rob can grow as well. Considering a lot of these kids grew up in poverty and didn't play a ton of minutes in college, adjusting to having millions of dollars,finding a new house in a new city,getting used to new coaches,media scrutiny,and an 82 game schedule can take some guys longer than others to snap out of. Not a single person alive can say any of these players from the past draft will or will not be great 3 years from now.
