i've never thought i would say this .... we messed up pretty bad not keeping larry brown. even though i hated browns lack of developing players , he could recognized talent. every player that brown did not like or develop ,are current journey men or not in the nba, so its obvious he was ahead of the curve. we were hard on brown but he made the most of what we didnt have. brown didnt care if you were making 10 million or a lottery pick because if you weren't good you wasn't getting any mins . like i been stating all year is i dont understand how players like biz is starting, taylor gets over 15 min and someone like mullen can play nick van exel .
i just hate dunlaps coaching and his rotations irk me to the extreme. he just looks confused out there . while watching the pistons game they stated the bobcats lost the nba's most games within 2-3 points at 7(maybe 8) games. that stat alone tells me he is doing something wrong, whether its kemba being on the bench in the 4th qt, mkg one of our best defenders is on the bench while trying to keep an lead, mullin jacking at unprecedented times, or hendo being subbed for taylor when hendo is playing a good game.
i dont understand how dunlap is preaching defense and wants a high tempo game at the same time . that doesnt work in football or basketball ,there may be some exceptions but we are not one of them .
our record doesn't explain our team ,because i truly feel we have an good team that could play for an 8th seed. we have better players than the raptors, magic, bucks, and bulls(without rose) right now. we have maybe two point guards in the top 15, top 5 bench player in gordon, top ten defender in mkg , i believe hendo is one of the best all-around guards in the nba and haywood is one of the last true centers who is guaranteed to get you rebounds, rotate, and inside presence.
everyone keep stating that we are developing players and this may not be the team for me . like i said we have good cornerstone players in sessions(only 27),kemba,hendo(just turned 25),and mkg, everyone is expendable. the thunder ,pacer, and spurs are an exception( 3/30 teams) , the rest of the lg either drafted an good player and added acquired pieces around them. teams like the warriors had to take a step away from the lottery and acquire david lee, grizzles had to acquire randolph, clippers had to acquire paul. the players that i mentioned are more than enough to build around or to add a good free agent with.
in the past decade there are only like 11 superstars(change a team around players) in the lottery: paul, lebron, melo, bosh(iffy),rose, durant, griffin, dwight, love, irving, and wade. thats 11(give or take) players out of 140 lottery picks , thats a 7% success rate ,when the 93% is made out of good players and role players . so to glorify the lottery is just dumb when you may just get a good player which we have(kemba, hendo, mkg) or worst. a team full of lottery picks are just over kill.
i've seen ppl state that sessions, gordon, and hendo needs to be traded when thats not the problem. are guards are like 70 percent of our offense , we ranked like 15th in offense so thats not the problem . we are the worst interior team in the lg and we are a big man away from competing which i dont think the draft can help us at .
lottery honorable mention: westbrook( i dnt think he could carry a team),harden(i wanna see him do it again after this year), rudy ( good player but one dimensional iso wing),deron(superstars dont have off years), aldridge (disappears in games), stephen curry( arguable),bynum(injury prone).
