I've been curious as to what they intend to do with Boozer, too. He'd look to be an amnesty candidate, but with them being so "frugal", I wonder if they'd actually pay Boozer to not be there and pay another guy to take his place. Especially after paying Gibson this summer.
The way Boozer is playing I'd like to have him here. He'd be a much-needed vet who can help on and off the floor, kind of like Sessions does right now. If we get our pick back and Boozer to boot, it wouldn't be such a bad haul, I believe (depending on who is send out, of course).
Boozer? aww, hell naww
Bulls fans are willing to trade him for a bag of peanuts and a soda, just to demonstrate you how bad he is this year.
Actually he's been averaging 20-11 for a couple of weeks/ month now, it's been the best he has played for the Bulls since signing
I agree, I'm just saying his value is at it's highest now so might be stupid to trade for him, wait for this span to go and do it then when his value is down. Hopefully before the trade deadline.... That's if we are trading for him
Yeah, I'm not interested at all. Adding him this year serves no purpose besides hurting our draft position. Maybe next year, if we're actually competitive and his contract isn't quite as daunting. Not to mention we could get him at a discount if the Bulls decide to amnesty him.
I agree that these trade scenarios don't make much sense without looking at possibly the entire picture.
Why would we be so interested in obtaining the Tyrus pick? Well that would enable us to flip our top pick this next year for a proven player. I know this is a lot of what ifs and conjecture but so are all rumors.
The idea might be trade Hendo (who possibly we won't or dont want to resign) and portlands pick and we get back our pick.
We then trade our 2013 pick and other pieces for a proven player. This way we get out of the "bad draft" and get a proven player who they see as a lot better than two picks in the 2013 draft. Just a thought!
