I hate losing but, this is the best thing that could happen in the long term. Our roster is flawed and we need our pick and hopefully it's in the Top 6 and Detroit's which is hopefully 9th and PDX will hopefully falter and end up around the 22-24th pick.
We need a serious infusion of talent on cheap rookie contracts. We don't have a roster that is worthy of the playoffs and making the playoffs in a year when a lot of the teams in the east don't want to would be horrible for this franchise.
Our roster isn't particularly inspiring short-term or long. That's the problem. If we were just really young and talented but struggling then I wouldn't have a problem with that. For example, the Bucks are a mess right now, but they do have the Greek Freak, Henson, Knight, and Middleton. There's some considerable upside there.
My biggest issue with the Bobcats is we really don't have a ton of upside right now. Kemba is probably a fringe all-star and I'm still hopeful that MKG can develop into an impact player, but beyond those two and maybe Zeller, there isn't much here to get excited about, especially when you consider MKG and Zeller have huge bust potential as this point. Considering how long the team has been struggling, that's really inexcusable.
We have to make good on this year's first rounders. Screw them up and we're just screwed. Period.

I really try to keep dreaming that we'll get three 1st round pick including two top 10 picks. But I always have that little part of me that keep saying Cho, MJ & co will find a way to screw it up. I have that deep feeling we'll make a push to the 8th seed, get swept by Miami and end up with just Portland pick in the 20-25 range...
