With so much cap space for next year.
Who should we go after? The two positions that we need to address in the draft of FA signing is SG and a Center Premo would be a solid back up but not for the long time 5 spot. We could move Emeka to the 4 spot and draft Aldridge or try to pick up Jamison so we could have Jamison and Okafor at the 4 and 5. Another way we could go is drafting Brandon Roy to fill a need at SG. I don\'t know what 2 guards will be free this offseason. A lot of scotes say Roy cannot be a consistant scorer but he would fit well in a offense ran by Felton. We could also trade Melvin Ely and Matt Carroll How do yall feel about this roster we could be a 7 or 8th seed in the playoffs.
PG:Raymond Felton
SG:Brandon Roy
SF:Gerald Wallace
F:Antwain Jamison
C:Emeka Okafor
Bench
PG:Brevin Knight
SG:Alan Anderson
SF:Jumain Jones/Bernard Robinson
F:Sean May
C:premo Brezic
Re:With so much cap space for next year.
What do you think about taking some of that extra cap space and going after Joel Pryzbilla out of Portland. In 24.9 minutes per game he averages 6 points, 7 boards and 2.3 blocks per game. He would be a tremendous defensive upgrade over Primoz Brezec.
Re:With so much cap space for next year.
We need someone dominate at the 5 spot.

If he can put on about 20 pounds, then LaMarcus Aldridge could hold down the center spot.

That line up equals another mediocre season.
Brevin Knight needs to be shipped out in some deal, possibly getting rid of two more players at the same time. If some major player like Kevin Garnett wants out of their current situation, the Bobcats need to make a serious play at him and put everything on the table except for Raymond Felton and Gerald Wallace.
I think taking Brandon Roy or anyone in this year\'s draft is a serious mistake. There is no need to waste a top 5 pick on any of these guys just because an NBA draft is taking place. The Bobcats need to use their draft pick as part of a trade to get a good player already in the league.
Re:With so much cap space for next year.
I agree that Brevin Knight needs to be moved for a draft pick or a younger player. but I disagree with you about not taking anybody from this draft class. Past drafts have shown us that sometimes whats percieved as weak draft classes wind up being strong draft classes when you look at them 10 years down the road and vice versa.

Maybe so, but this draft is weak, lol, because none of these players fit the Bobcats needs. The Bobcats need a shooting guard.
Rudy Gay - SF
Adam Morrision - SF
Lamarcus Aldridge - Center
Brandon Roy - SG
Brandon Roy? Whatever. I\'d much rather trade the pick and get a very good shooting guard already in the league, which can be done with the high pick the Bobcats have and the players they can include in any deal (BK, Jumaine Jones, Matt Carroll can each be part of a deal).
If the Bobcats are determined to take a player in this draft just because there is a draft taking place, they should take Aldridge and get rid of Primo.

Shooting Guard by committee is not going to work. Carroll, Jumaine Jones, \"Felton\"? Whatever. That rotation needs to come to an end this summer. Bernie didn\'t do it because he wanted to, he had no choice. He has a choice now.
The Bobcats can get Gerald Green from Boston for their draft pick and one or two players in a trade. They should do that.
If Felton and May are healthy next year, they\'ll be fine in the post. They need a shooting guard, not a center.
Felton - PG
Green - SG
Wallace - SF
Okafor - PF
Primo - C
Primo is good for one more year, then the Bobcats can think about a Center. a T-Mac type player.
Get it if you can.

Aldridge I don\'t have a problem with, If he can play center.
In the predraft workouts they need to take a real long look at him, see if he is long enough and can possibly add enough bulk to play center. If he is just another power forward masquerading as center, then hes no good to the Bobcats.
Tray,
With the potential that Gerald Green showed late in his rookie year, the Celtics might not be willng to give him up in a trade, even for a high drarft pick. If Gerald Green is off the board, which wing player do you go after next?

It\'s all or nothing for me regarding Green, lol.
If they can\'t get Green, there is no on other your player who I can think of worth a top 5 draft pick in a trade. NBADraft.net is not always right, but they have Boston taking Brandon Roy. If so, that would probably mean the Celtics are considering letting go of Paul Pierce or Ricky Davis, I don\'t really know, but I doubt they want Pierce, Davis, Green and Roy.
With that said, I don\'t know Pierce\'s situation, but if he is still under contract, I don\'t know if the Bobcats should absorb that. If they can get Pierce as a free agent, and he is not going to waste a bunch of money for 2007-2008, then maybe they could get him instead.
At this point, there are not a lot of 2s available, so if they can\'t get a 2, I\'d say take Aldridge.
