My Crazy Trade

I know you guys would hate to lose Wallace but if you end up having to trade him, though probably not, I'm just saying hypothetically, what do you think about this trade?

Would it be a bad idea, would the guys that run the Bobcats be complete idiots to do this? Would we be asking to much? I don't know you guys tell me?

so let's say:

Charlotte gives Memphis: Gereld Wallace, the 22nd pick, (and maybe another player?)
Memphis gives Charlotte: Pau Gasol & 4th pick

Charlotte gives Golden State: the 4th pick
Golden State gives Charlotte: Jason Richardson & the 18th pick

Charlotte uses 8th pick for Wallace's replacement: Brewer, Green, Thorton, etc...
Charlotte uses 18th for the other player's replacement (or BPA)

Charlotte's 2007/08 starting line-up:

Gasol
Okafor
Brewer
Felton
Richardson

so in the end you lose Gereld Wallace
but gain Pau Gasol, Jason Richardson, and Corey Brewer

It all sounds good but i just cant see Memphis giving up its 4th pick and Gasol for Wallace and a 22nd pick.
But that would make one hell of a line up.

Yeah, if Gasol is traded, Memphis is unquestionably going to be rebuilding. While Wallace is great, there's no way they'd give up Gasol and the 4th pick for him and the 22.

We might not have to do that to get JRich, anyway. If Yi drops, we might be able to do a straight up trade for him.

J-rich is not even an option for straight up with the 8th pick

GS is now offering Monta Ellis and the 18th pick for the 8th pick....

i think the only way to get Pau Gasol in a Bobcats Uni... is

Brevin Knight, Sean May, Primoz Brezec and the 8th pick

for Gasol.

if Yi or Noah is left at 8.... Gasol will play half assed for Memphis again this year, so trading him for Sean May and Yi/Noah is getting something out of a crappy situation... not to mention you get a point guard(a desperate need) and an offensive Center, who would at least take a little of the sting from Gasols departure. and they get to keep the 4th pick. to draft Brewer, horford,
