Re: Official *cross your fingers for a Crash resigning* thread
Ziggy: "For the time being, there is nothing more important than getting Crash signed."
I don't want Devin Harris. I don't want Josh Howard. I want Gerald Wallace to stay a Bobcat. I truly think that he is undervalued at $10M per year (by bizarre NBA values) and would happily see the Cats pay him more if they need too.
I've seen enough of Gerald Wallace to appreciate the guys passion for the game. I love his tenacity, heart, tremendous talent and still emerging game. We say we need veteran leadership, a go-to guy and all that; and
Crash sits there... who is becoming all that and more before our eyes.
Really folks; Gerald Wallace is a freaking stud. I don't even want to think about him playing anywhere else. Don't screw with this MJ. Get it done before it slips away.
Re: Official *cross your fingers for a Crash resigning* thread
Bernie and MJ keep saying Matt and Crash want to be here in Charlotte lets hope we hear some positive news later on today.
Not sure if this was posted already no good news besides Bernie's comments.

Sam Vincent on the GW situation; his anxiety is as palpable as ours!

Re: Official *cross your fingers for a Crash resigning* thread
Like michael jordan told all his bobcat fans in the letter, we want things done sooner for the team, well this is the time. Sign G-Force, G-Dub, GW, Crash back and we WILL have something done next season and become a playoff contender.
All positives so far. We just have to wait till both bobcats staff and gerald talk and finalize a deal ;D
same with matt carroll as well
Re: Official *cross your fingers for a Crash resigning* thread
Starting to see some daylight I think!
http://www.gastongazette.com/sports/...t_bobcats.html
Meanwhile, sources within the Bobcats organization are getting more and more hopeful an announcement will soon be made on the re-signing of Wallace.
Wallace has received interest from at least eight teams, including the Bobcats, but the recent agreements made by Orlando and Milwaukee have lessened the cap space those teams have. And officials for both the Bobcats and for Wallace have said recently they are having productive discussions and could be moving closer to a deal.
BTW, check out the gaston gazette...they have 3 new articles...and USAToday has a good one talking about Felts taking over. They're all interviews/snippets from the summer league camp yesterday.
Hearing nothing but cricket noises over at the Observer...

Thanks for the news spectre
Re: Official *cross your fingers for a Crash resigning* thread
Here is the link to the USA Today article concerning Felton that Spectre mentioned.
Re: Official *cross your fingers for a Crash resigning* thread
we should all make "SIGN GERALD NOW" posters and send em to the bobcats staff or email it to them to get them to finish the deal TODAY! im tired of waiting =x
Re: Official *cross your fingers for a Crash resigning* thread
I agree, flame. The longer this goes on, the less likely I believe he's coming back. It really shouldn't be taking this long. He knows we desperately want him back, he's said he wants to be here, then what's going on? I'm speculating that it is money. I figure the Magic screwed us by signing Lewis to that ridiculously-absurd (and absurdly-ridiculous) over-inflated max contract. I think that because the Magic gave Lewis so much money, GW and Pelinka believe (and for good reason) they should get a similar deal becuase GW is the much better complete player. I'm thinking it'll take at least $13M per now, all thanks to Orlando's incompetence. MJ and Bernie are going to have to turn on their salesmen charm to get Bob to pony-up it looks like :-\
As you can tell, my confidence in getting GW back is not what it was a week ago :(
Re: Official *cross your fingers for a Crash resigning* thread
Really? There's no one left to pay him other than us and maybe Milwaukee. If they want a sign and trade it has to go through us. If the market isn't there, and it may not be, then he is going to have to take what he gets. I have to think that something has been agreed upon or at least is pretty close. I don't know though
This is what Bonnell said about it yesterday

Like Tupac said, "keep your head up."
This also may bring the price down, Chauncey at 12 mil per year.
