Cats add two more to training camp roster...

In addition to adding Anderson on Monday, the Bobcats signed 7-foot center Marcus Campbell and 6-11 forward-center Jameel Watkins to non-guaranteed free agent contracts.

Their additions give the Bobcats 20 players on their training camp roster – with 15 players under guaranteed contracts.

Campbell spent the 2005 preseason with Charlotte before playing the last two seasons in the National Basketball Developmental League. Watkins played in the NBDL for two seasons (2001-02 and 2002-03) and has participated in summer leagues or training camps for six other NBA teams. Last year, he played in Korea.

Not heard much of either of these guys and haven't heard anything of Watkins, but I guess the Cats staff will see what they can do in training camp...

It seems like Campbell played ok last year in the summer league.But if either has a shot at making the team they got to be clearly better than Hollins and Davidson. We want take on another project player and keep both of those two.

Honestly I'd rather have Jermareo Davidson over Ryan Hollins, IMO he's a bit better....Not sure if either of these guys make the team or not, but it'll be interesting to find out how they do...

i am not actually aware of how this non-guaranteed contracts go. and how long is the training camp btw?

I think it works that if they no longer need you it ends there and they dont pay no more. A garenteed is you get paid no matter what.... :g:
