Well after todays dandy poor coaching and lack of second half pizzaz, we get this from our head coach
Quote:
"This is probably one game that I don't feel bad about losing," Bobcats coach Sam Vincent said. "We played pretty well. We lost to a championship team."
We played like crap because the rotation did not favor who was hot. We played like crap because radio here couldnt seem to motivate our team to do sh*t in the second half.
Seriously an NBA coach of a team that is crawling closer to a playoff spot for the first time is saying, eh I dont care about that loss theyre better then us. That is a load of bullshit and the worst attitude a coach could have. Yeah they may be good, but we beat them last year on the road, and since we are better this year, we should have put up a better second half fight.
every loss should hit hard, you are being paid to win, or to get your team to win
Its turning your back on your fans who pay to watch you
No excuses... just wins is what I as a fan want. Disappointing to say the least

I can only imagine what our 2 ultra competitive players are thinking about that quote. Do you seriously think they take this guy seriously? How the hell can he say that? I don't care if we play the West All Stars or the Harlem Globetrotters(plenty of tickets still available for next month at the arena or whatever) we play to win and my team better be damn disappointed if they don't win.

Gerald said something like, well we would have to play a perfect game to beat them... but he never said well I'm ok with the fact that we lost, theyre better then us!
Ekjheghhhh

I heard that in the post game show on the radio.
Being content with a loss isn't exactly the message that he should be sending to the team.

I don't know about that, they may try to take him seriously, but from Bonnell says, they are as confused by his comments as any of us are.

I agree that the statement sounds bad. I'd really like to know the context of the statement and what he was saying in the sentences before and after. If that is all he said, it is sending a very bad message. If he also said something along he lines of "you never like to lose, losing sucks, at least we played with hustle, there were several things out there I saw that I liked, etc..." then his message is not so bad. Sometimes quotes are taken out of context and sound bad. But like I said, if his only comment was about not feeling bad about the loss, then I don't like that attitude at all.

That's true O'Hara. I'm willing to bet that most of the crazy stuff we hear from Radio is taken out of context. (What kind of coach is OKAY with a loss??!?!?!???!?) He's new at this, but he needs to improve what he says to the media. Even if these are taken out of context, he should try to avoid saying things that can be isolated like this to make him sound absurd. If it hadn't been for hearing some of the ridiculous crap he's been spouting (or at least how he has been portrayed as spouting) then I wouldn't be as critical of him, just questioning his over-playing of McInthegametoomanyminutes.

I was walking through Freedom Park the other day and saw Radio riding by...I asked him about this quote and this is how he responded:

That is the lamest, stupidest comment a coach could ever make about his team. Unbelievable.
