Crash has got a three ball
:afro:
Yep, after watching most of our games this year i think it's safe to say that Gerald's perimeter game has developed nicely. No longer is he only a slasher but now he can consistently spot up and knock down big shots from the arc.
This is making it even easier to get to the rim because now opposing teams must respect his three. My only other critic for Gerald would be to improve his midrange game a little more. I would like to see him be able dribble to a spot, pull up and hit shots as well. Many of the best players in the league have this as one of their strengths. Think of Kobe, Lebron, (gay guy) tony parker, and even our own Jason Richardson who is also a helluva three point specialist.
Don't get me wrong i have no complaints about Geralds game, I just want to see him become a true all star. I think developing his scoring abilitly to all areas of the court will help him greatly.
Great Job on the outside game Crash. Keep ballin' out.
Re: Crash has got a three ball
I agree the J has vastly improved this year. I always thought his problem was mechanics, but as Shawn Marion proved if you practice enough you can succeed with any form.
It is actually really nice to see that GW got his contract and didn't skip a beat. So many players bust their butts during contract years, get the money and get lazy the next year. I like that GW is playing like he has a chip on his shoulder and not taking any time off. He certainly deserves to be an all star.

Definitely his shot has improved. It used to be "no no no" when he was throwing stuff up out past about 12 feet but now it's like "this should probably go in." I'd him to get to the point of "This one is definitely going in" but his mechanics probably will never make it like that. But he is just feeling it lately, he'll keep it up because he's just that good.

He certainly has improved his shooting from last year to this year, but I think that is partly because of the nagging shoulder injuries that he sustained from the beginning of last year.
But speaking of 3-point shooting, I wouldn't know who to pick from our team to compete in a 3-point contest, but if there was ever a team 3-point shooting contest, the Bobcats would be amazing, with Carroll, GW, and J-Rich.
On shooting in general, one person who seriously needs to improve his shooting is Raymond. A positive change here would open up a lot of lanes for his teammates and would substantially help us win more games, as we have certainly seen the "Big Four" theory hold this year.
