I was reading ESPN Insider on the NBA. They said that Antawn Jamison is happy in Washington. He said he would like to stay in Washington and hopes it works out.
I know there was a lot of talk about signing him as a FA after this season. Just dont expect it as it seems that the Wizards will be able to offer him the most money, and if he's happy there, he wont be coming to the Carolinas.
That team is winning their conference...you really didn't expect him to say anything different did you?
I've figured there was very little chance we could get him anyway unless he'd take the MLE or just demanded a S&T to us. That doesn't mean he'll stay in WAS though; they have to re-sign Arenas and the team with the most capspace (Philly) need a PF most of all.
Arenas just had surgery. He'ss resign for something they can handle. But a real good point about Philly. I thought Iggy played the 4; is he a 3?

IF WAS decides to resign Gil & pay Jamison say 15 million that'll put them bordering on luxury tax. It'll be interesting to see if they do it...how far they get in the playoffs this year might influence that.
Iggy can play the 2 & 3 as well as time at the 4 ala Crash. That and the fact that he plays on both sides of the ball make him a very valuable commodity. Jamison would look almost as good beside him as he would here beside Crash.

Once we resign Meo we will be squeezed financially - between Mek, crash, & j-rich we'll have something like 30+mil set. There's the lotto money due sean may, raymond,& ammo (and this year's likely lotto pick). I just don't see the cap space. I'd love to have him though - a good compliment to oak & nazr.
if we can find a way to pull the trigger and give a good offer, he will come, granted it may be difficult for us to do. Oh well.

We'd be playoff-bound, for sure with Antawn and a lottery pick. I agree with those saying not to read anything into his comments; reluctantly, I agree that it would be difficult it get him, financially speaking.
