Re: Good article - read it
J Rich's quotes were certainly positive:
Quote:
“I have some of the best teammates I’ve had in my career,” Richardson said. “It’s just about us trying to win. Once we do that, we’ll start getting more fans here and people will start believing in us more.”
I'm especially excited that he, Felton and Wallace will be working out together. If those three really gel, we'll be in great shape...
... so long as our coach can put it all together. :g:
Re: Good article - read it
yeas definatley a good read....+1 for you!!!
Re: Good article - read it
notice how careful Jrich is with his words, he says about ray, "he is still young, I think he is going to be the point guard of this team"
Thats not saying, Ray is a great point guard and we will be good with him next year. Interesting.

I think you're reading too much into it. I'm sure Richardson has criticisms of Ray just like the rest of us. However, he seems to be pretty happy with the team, as he says he has some of the best teammates he's ever had. Maybe they're just nice guys. However, it's probable that he thinks the guys can be a great team together.
Re: Good article - read it
Interesting that he took up for Vincent. He could have just said "He tried, but it is up to mgmnt to decide who coaches us next season." He really went out of his way to say that Vincent did his job, but the players failed to do their job. If the team stands behind him, Vincent will be back, no question about it.
Re: Good article - read it
I'm getting seriously concerned that Sam will remain. I've written my ticket rep and told him I am holding my ticket payment pending news of the current coaches demise.
I also told him that Bobcat Johnson's recent comments regarding Michael Jordan's brand of underwear removed a significant amount of my interest in this team, which, well is an exaggeration, but in fact more than anything to date, it makes me wonder why I care about these guys.

Matt,
Admit that you have a Raymond Felton picture that you use for dart practice.
Just having some fun with you, btw.

Yeah, but JRich is one of those stand-up guys who takes the blame for everything. Remeber how hard he took the Boston debacle in late November? Admittedly, he should've known he had a TO left; still, there's no reason "coach" couldn't have called it from the sidelines when he saw nothing develop because I remeber him saying that he knew he had a TO left.
It is true though, if all the players said similar things about "coach" to MJ today, he will assuredly be back....but it would blow my mind that they would, giving honest assessments, have anything good to say about him. Like I said somewhere else, there has been NO progress or improvement from this team throughout the season; we were 2 games over .500 after 10 games, and we finished 18 games UNDER; thats regress, not progress. Plus the team was making the same mistakes in the last two games (not holding big leads) as they have since they've been a franchise.
If he stays, I'll go to some games, but they'll have one less ST holder.
Re: Good article - read it
The more player statements I read about Vincent the more it seems to me that the players truly think he's not capable. Usually when players are truly behind a coach they will put blame on themselves when asked about the situation of the coach or they will say how confident they are in his ability etc etc... You hear NOTHING like that out of our Bobcats. Felton declined to comment and J-Rich basically said "yeah he showed up and did his job, not much more." I hope MJ went into serious detail with the players today about Vincent because if the players can't gel with the coach then the team is going nowhere.
