I got to witness a slam dunk fest by the Bobcats ( two of the made ESPN's top 10 ), and we are on the right side of a 30 point blowout. To quote my 7 year old son "Good times, man"

Good times indeed!
One point not being discussed is how well Felton played; just like always when the offense isn't being laid on his back (either by his choice or more realistically...by necessity) he's a solid PG who brings great defense. His counterpart had 8 assists but 6 turnovers and only hit 3 shots...generated mostly from the perimeter screens the Raps run. Felton had 0 turnovers.
On one play, the pass was going to Jose and Felton went for the steal but didn't get it (if you caught the vids on BobcatsBreak you would know that getting steals for breaks was a focus in this game). Jose took off for the basket, Felton recovered and rode his left shoulder all the way to the basket forcing a tough layup that he missed. Felton then runs the floor and gets the layup on a fast break.
Another guy who deserves some major shout out is TC. He set the tone early in the game by blocking Bosh's 10 footer in the paint, and from then on out Bosh was very leary of trying to take it straight at him. If he can continue the play he's had in his last two games I think the angst of losing Mek (who went 2 of 6 last night) will diminish significantly.
Two players we usually require to have a good game in order to win was Boris and Flip. Neither were a factor in this game...yet we STILL blow out the Raps by 35!
When we play like we did last night...with everyone stepping up on offense and moving the ball like we have been our starting group runs very well. Add to that our new found depth and it's starting to look like there is some hope in Charlotte.
Well, Okafor also had 13 boards, 2 steals, and 3 blocks during a victory against a team who humiliated us not too long ago. I do agree, though, if Chandler can just provide defense and get put backs on offense, I'll be happy. With that said, I hope Mohammed keeps getting close to 20 minutes a game. He's playing out of his mind right now, no reason to cut his minutes just because Chandler is back.
Felton has been playing very well. 10 assists and no turnovers these past two games. Now, obviously, he can't exactly keep up that, but there's no reason why he can't keep the turnovers at 2 or below every game. I've noticed we're not running the pick and roll as much, which is probably for the best. So many of Felton's turnovers have come out of pick and rolls. If he can focus on getting Jackson, Wallace, and Diaw the ball, and then just picking his spots to score, he's a nice offensive player for us. Really, I thought all five of his misses were good shots. Hopefully some of those mid-range shots and floaters start dropping. If so, we could see 14 PPG on 45% shooting.
Dunks from last night's game making an appearance on SportsCenter's top 10 plays:
#9 Gerald Henderson baseline dunk.
#1 Gerald Wallace posterizing some Raptor (Johnson, I think).
Good work fellas.
2 on the SC top 10 including #1 but not a single play in the NBA top 10. haters.
