I've made this point about a different Bobcat center before. Not sure why we make bad passes to our bigs. Stephen Jackson has been terrible at this lately.2. While only explaining some of the stone hands moments, there are times when we pass it to him at the waste or lower. He needs it in the chest to be most effective. Props to Ampsportsduo for pointing this out the other night.
Eh, I don't think his ankle or foot has been bothering him for a while, do you mean the back spasms that he missed time with? I'm afraid he isn't injured, he just doesn't have that high of a basketball IQ. I also think he doesn't have a very quick second jump, but I'm willing to explain that away as a possible conditioning issue.3. I don't think he's at 100% yet. He just looks a second behind on most plays. Is his actions aren't automatic, like a quality professional athlete's should be. Once he gets up to speed and becomes more fluid, I think he'll be better.
As I wrote earlier, not trying to turn this into a Mek v. Tyson thing. I'm just pretty disappointed in Chandler, he's been underwhelming and my expectations were pretty low. I've come around to the thinking that Okafor was never going to justify his contract, which I thought was the trade's one saving grace at the time... so at least we have that going for us. I am soooooooo happy Naz did the right thing this summer, where would we be without him?!

You can argue that Mek could still/should've dunked more. I can't refute it. My point has always been that he still dunks the ball an awful lot. Depending on your thoughts on Nene (who only got 7 more jams than Okafor), all of the players above Okafor (Dwight/Shaq/Iguodala) are either massive or have top tier athleticism.
A block is a block, a miss is a miss. Okafor was more efficient with his attempts inside, despite attempting dunks at a lower rate... so maaaaybe too much was being made about his proposed unwillingness to dunk the basketball.
i dont get all these long paragraphs and answers saying whos better when it can be summed up in just a few words: they both suck and dont deserve the money their being paid.

I am so happy when tyson picks up 2 quick fouls
I think we should rotate five different guys at center depending on matchups. I think we should play about two per game of Naz, Diop, TC, Lexy and then play Diaw when we go small. None of our bigs are really top tier players, rotating them will keep them fresher and make us harder to scout as a team.
If the other team has a player who is a great rebounder because he knows how to push the other center around and get good position on every rebound TC and Lexy will have a hard time. Diop has size that none of our other guys have and we need him to put a body on some of these guys. He isn't going to be ready when we need him if he never gets a chance to play. Putting him in with 3 min left is not going to work.
Lexy can also do something none of these other guys do, shoot form the outside. That would really help open up driving lanes for wallace and Jackson.
It isn't just these guys that need to play either. LB needs to use the whole bench more. Hendo and Brown are the guys I would play. Tonight we got like 2 buckets from our bench, but really only three guys were in very long.
Tyson. Diop brings absolutely nothing to the offensive end. Tyson brings at least a minuscule amount.
