The only failure I've experienced with the rigs I've owned (two, actually, with a dozen upgrades) in 11 years was a faulty PSU which the warranty covered (got the PC back the same day thanks to the nifty service the IT seller's tech crew provided).

LOL! At this point, ah hell, who am I kidding, I was never tech savvy to begin with, and the fact that you seemingly need to constantly upgrade graphics cards, sound cards, this that and the other on PCs has kept me frightened of going the PC route. Plus I was weaned on consoles and controllers going back to the Atari 2600. I have the original Half-Life on my PC and I've always loved it, but the mouse and keyboard are just a little too awkward for my controller-conditioned mind to adjust to.

As an anecdote, just this summer I fell in love with an online mulitplayer game, Team Fortress 2 on the 360. I found out there was an updated version of the game on PC, so I bought it, downloaded it, installed it....and it wouldn't work. Called computer technician, took it to a shop, paid $50 to have my computer looked at, told everything looks in order and it should work fine, only to return home and kaput! Thus ended my PC gaming experiment....

Team Fortress 2 is the bomb. I still play it online on steam with a bunch of my friends.
