This from the person who's been skewering TC? Wow.

Didn't see the game as I had to take care of some family issues, but why the heck a true big man only played 26 minutes for us befuddles me. Seriously LB? With them, it makes more sense to play Diop and Naz TOGETHER!

Ugh. We'll figure this out at somepoint, or the players will go Sam Vincent on LB's ass.

Why did we leave the Italian Stallion? He was killing us all night and we give him an open look at the 3. Puzzles me, at that point in the game a 3 basically wins the game for them. Wonder what the conversation was in the timeout. By Jackson's reaction to the made 3 my guess would be they were told not to leave him.

Pregame conversation by the Bobcat players.....

"Hey guys we have lost in many ways on the road this year. How about we shoot very well from the floor tonight, but turn the ball over so many times we ultimately kill our chances of winning Win on 3. 1!, 2!, 3! WIN!!!"

What the hell does that mean? If he's hitting those shots, his game's not nearly as bad as what it's been, and we're obviously a better team for it.

And note, I said my BIGGEST, not only. TC hasn't done crap for us, so obviously I'm going to get after him; especially considering we traded Okafor for him, people (like you) said he would help us more than Okafor could, and he's our highest paid player.

With the way Boris is playing I can't say that about Tyson. He has had games this year when he did exactly what I expect him to do.

Diop and Nazr together would have made us even worse.I would have liked to have seen TC in the game as much as or don't think much at all, i know he would have helped us take this one.He still sucks overall but against the Raps his presence was definitely missed

Can we chalk this up as a slump for Boris? If so, how long do we wait for him to recover?

Now, I haven't seen them all, but for my money, this was the worst-officiated game for the Cats this season. I mean gottdamm Bellineli was getting calls that GW and Jack weren't getting?!?!?! Not to mention the fact that every time he or his Italian compatriot Bargnani took steps every time they put the ball on the floor yet never ONCE was called for the travel.......whatever.

But of course, the TOs were once again the story. It's just getting ridiculous how little they value the ball. Lazy pass after lazy pass after lazy pass. This is one of the worst defenses in the league, a weak team that doesn't LIKE to play d, yet the Cats either overpassing, or dribbling the air out of the ball on the perimeter, or just making errant passes when pick 'n rolls, backdoor cuts, and dribble drives would carve the Raptors to pieces. But 21 damn TOs. Heaven help me.

Also, once again, the ineffective, TO prone Meow getting massive minutes and getting taken advantage of in any matchup on the defensive end and doing nothing to facilitate the offense. I remember Derrick getting decent minutes and productive ones at that during the blowout win at home against TOR, yet he gets a minute or two tonight and that's it. And even in that time he got more offensive rebounds than Meow. I just don't get it. I understand the results of it: losses; I just don't understand the logic in it.

Nor do I understand the logic in going with the small lineup towards the end of the game, having GW guard Bosh? Especially with Nazr and Gana putting together a really good first half, yet they're MIA in the second. All this shit's just blowing my mind and pretty fucking sick and tired of it.

I've decided on a compromise. Instead of an all out moratorium on watching Bobcats games, it's just going to be road games. I mean, what's the point anyway, it's not like they'll every win, so it'll save me that much grief/torture from having to watch them tease me only to wilt away at the end. Oh well, maybe someday they'll figure it out...

This is courtesy of "Sandy" in the comments section of Bonnell's article on the game:

Again, too much small ball. Why didn't Nazr or Diop play at all in the last quarter? The Bobcats dominated the boards for 3 quarters (28-20); then, comes the small ball of the last quarter, and with it, the Raptors take control of the rebounds: 16-7 in this quarter! That wasn't a way to win this game. Even if our centers didn't take a lot of rebounds in the few minutes they were allowed on the floor, it's just the presence and positioning of the big men that often facilitates rebounding by the smaller guys.

I never knew LB as a small ball coach, but this season he's using and overusing small line-ups, creating mismatches that other teams are capable of exploiting. Small ball, with its extra quickness, will win some games; not a lot of them, I'm afraid.
Even with the TOs we could have won this game.
