Spectre, I hope you are wrong on the "30 game rental", but fear you are right once again. Just stupid to trade a future 1st for a 30 game rental unless you feel that can bring you a Championship rather than just a 1st time to the Playoffs trip.

You know that's not the plan so far as LB.

This is obviously the best thing they could do in fulfilling LB's wish of getting a backup PF without adding any addition long term salary.

I'm just pissed it cost us another 1st to do it.

I think Chandler gets traded either in the offseason or during the season. That'd get us where we need to be.

And if it doesn't, oh well. Enjoy the ride while you can.

Our offense just got a lot worse again and we wasted a first round pick for a 30 game rental of Stromile Swift 2.0. Awesome.

If Flip does get bought out, that just makes this even sweeter.
How do you figure? The guys we traded were all off the books at the end of the season.

We flat out do not have the money to re-sign him unless we're able to dump a contract for nothing (maybe include a THIRD 1st in order to do that? ).

As an additional i didnt mean 'we got extra money' i meant we got one player who has a 6.5 million expiring. Poor phrasing on my part.

But i am not going to call this a bad trade. I understand a lot of people on here are very cyncial when it comes to trades and losing, but you got to look at the postives here; we got a legit power forward. If he walks after the end of the season (i am confident he wont if he fits in here. Tyrus is just looking for a place to fit in and i think we can offer that), we can resign ray and use the leftover money to sign a new power forward. Im liking this deal for us.

Well, we can always hope TC gets bad advise from his handlers and exercises his early termination clause. THAT would be a very nice gift.

And Spectre, you don't think MJ's new investers wouldn't pony up a one time luxury tax? For a playoff team?

And Postolos' group appears to want to blow it up anyway, so it wouldn't matter.

That would be almost as good as making the playoffs.

What'd be next, Gana for an expiring?
