I would like to pick up Mike James.......He'd be a good signing for vet. leadership off the bench down the stretch

Again, Theo Ratliff is damn near useless. Crotchety old fart is like 68 years old and I seriously thought he retired about 5 years ago. Yawn

nba.com is reporting the draft pick for Theo Ratliff is a Protected 2016 2nd round pick...not sure how its protected, but with the way protected picks often go, it may not be used til 2020...

Depends...If Thomas is re-signed as he's a restricted free agent then we lose money next year, if we let him go or do some type of sign and trade we lose nothing, Theo Ratliff is an expiring contract, the draft picks we give up are 2012 protected 1st round pick and a 2016 protected 2nd round pick...as I said in the previous post it could be 2-3 years before those picks are even used...

    2016 ?!?!?

Aren't we all supposed to careen into the center of the sun in 2012? If that's the case then I guess we got Ratliff for free.

I tend to agree with this.

In saying that, the flip side is that we could also have traded DJ for Kenny Thomas too - so looking at it that way we haven't done too bad.
