8.8 magnitude earthquake hits Chile

This earthquake had 500 or 600 times the energy of the horrific Haiti earthquake. This earthquake has also triggered a tsunami warning for Hawaii.

What's going on people? Are these recent terrible tragedies just a horrible coincidence? Is it something man made? Is it something biblical?

Feels like something is going on.

NZ isn't too far away from Australia...I'm on the Western Coast so it's A-okay. As for Chile, my thoughts go out to them. If its 500-600 times the energy of Haiti, would that mean Chile would be pretty much nothing but rubble? (unless their infrastructure is Earthquake proof, but even then it's tough for a building to withstand any earthquake)
