Felton 1-6 4 pts
DJ 4-12 12 pts.
Assists are down, shooting is way down (DJ has been so awful that I've largely ignored/missed feltons shooting the past 5 games or so.
I think poor play at the 1 is just as responsible for these recent losses as the "committee" manning the 5.

STARTING AT FOOOORWARD...6'8"..Tyr......wait...Dom..who the fuck?
It's not just their fault. Auggie has had a rough year, that's understandable. He's looked good at times, and horrible in others. We know his confidence is down.
Ray has improved and matured alot this year. Although his first years were stunted due to McInnis being in front of him (seriously...McInnis) we've seen a much more improved Tonberry this year. His stats may be down, but he's shown a much better side of himself.
It's our foundation that's shaky. Besides Tonberry, Crash and Cpt. Jack being consistent, Diaw has been a rollercoaster, more down than up. TC can't even get onto the court, and when he does he brings sub-par production. Our main contributor Nazzy is great. He's been coming in for around 25 mins and putting in good effort on those boards and scoring. Now, PF is more shored up with TT coming in (and I'm starting to love the kid more and more). It's just Center that's struggling, and that's why we're struggling.
In my view, there are 2 positions that are best to build around. Center, and PG. If you have a great C like Bogut, DH12 then you're at a distinct advantage since the Center is the guy who holds the team in place. The Center is your last man stand, he guards the rim and is there to grab the friggin ball off the board.
PG likewise is a great position to build around. If you have D.Will, CP3, Nash you're able to build around a PG.
We have a decent PG. We have a horrible C. Go figure.

Honestly, Felton isnt that good. He hasn't improved THAT much as you all are saying. He's an avergae point guard skill wise with good leadership skills and an ability to learn and listen. Im really to the point, however, where I think its time to get a new starting pg. He was getting burned by Rondo and Nate last night and he wasn't any better againest Kidd and the Mavs the last game...
If we want to be a top team in the east any time soon we need a point guard who is better than Felton.
Dont agree that we need a great point guard to do well in the Playoffs(or make the playoffs for that matter).....? Lets look at the current Playoff teams right now and their point guards:
EAST:
1. Cavs- Mo Williams
2. Magic- Jameer Nelson
3. ATL- Mike Bibby
4. Celtics- Rondo
5. Raptors- Calderon
6. Bucks- Jennings
7. Bulls- Rose
8. Heat- Alston/Chalmers
WEST:
1. Lakers- Fisher
2. Mavs- Kidd
3. Nuggets- Billups
4. Jazz- D-Will
5. PHX- Nash
6. OKC- Westbrook
7. Spurs- Parker
8. Blazers- Miller
Now I realize after listing all of these PG's that they are not all better than Felton. BUT, if a team has a PG who is below Felton, they have a big star(or two) on the team that keeps them in the Playoffs. (For example: LA has Fisher, but they also have Kobe/Gasol.)
So basically what I am getting at is we need a great point guard or a superstar player to get into the playoffs and make noise......and getting a new great point guard is more realistic right now, then getting a superstar in CLT.

As quoted in the Observer after the Mavs loss:
Brown declined to point the finger at any player or position, saying the Bobcats' dull edge was the result of multiple issues. Asked if the offensive troubles start at the point guard spot, Brown said it's not that easy to define.
"It's gotta be all five guys," Brown said. "We simply aren't doing that on a consistent basis.
"In order to help Raymond and D.J. (Augustin) everybody has to do their job. If (Stephen Jackson) is going to get double-teamed, he creates an open shot for somebody. Everybody has to do their job.
I'm on pins and needles just waiting for you to explain how we're going to get a great point guard. So basically what I am getting at is we need a great point guard or a superstar player to get into the playoffs and make noise......and getting a new great point guard is more realistic right now, then getting a superstar in CLT.
Something's changed with him AND the entire team since the all star break, but regardless I have no problem with the idea of upgrading from Felton. Question however...is how?
The cap next season has us seriously screwed. Even if we renounce both Felton & TT we're at 59 million and only the MLE. Assuming we don't offer the QO to TT both those guys have the right to refuse a trade as they're FAs.
I imagine we could do that Indiana trade, but that would basically lose our best big in Nazr, we take Ford (who I have a very low opinion of) and upgrade the SG spot with Rush. That was a 3 for 2 trade...so that would bring us down to 9 players.
Maybe then swap Crash for Al Jefferson? Thing is, between the salary we'd have to add another player (which we're short of anyway) so throw in Jinx...we still pick up over 1 million in salary AND we drop another player...that gives us 8 under contract and approx. 5 million (less than a full MLE deal under the proposed LT).
Ford
Jax/Rush
Boris/UPS
AlJeff
TC/Gana
Trade Crash for Andre Miller/Bayless? Upgrade the PG spot but get rid of our best player?
I'm open to suggestions.

I didnt say that WE WILL get a new great pg, but I said that its alot more likely that we do get an upgrade over Felton, than to get a superstar. You miread what I wrote. I just mean that we can get a pg thru the draft(somehow....I know we dont have a 1st rd. pick if we make the playoffs) and he could turn out great or we could sign or trade for one and that would be alot easier to do than to get a Kobe or LeBron or Bosh for that matter....
In no ways am I saying that we will get a great pg thru the draft or whever, Im just saying its easier to get a pg thats better than Felton, than to get a LeBron or Kobe....
I know I am repeating what I just said alot but Im just trying to make it clear what I was trying to say...

I understood...but for next year we're talking 1% vs. 10% for odds between the two. I just took your thoughts about getting one and tried to make it realistic.
We have no assets to trade for a better PG right now unless we're dealing Crash. It's either a MLE PG (which means we most likely let TT walk or pay the tax) or we re-sign Felton with the idea that we'll move him like we did Okafor and figure we're going over the LT for one season.
I know we all "hope" we can dump an expiring before the end of next season...but I shudder to think what the cost will be.
