Quick Question.
How did Jackson get the nickname Cpt. Jack?

Also what does UPS stand for with D. brown? Been bugging me for a while.

Not 100% on the Capt. Jack, but I feel like it's a Pirates of the Carribbean reference. The UPS for Derrick Brown comes from the tagline for the shipping company UPS..... "What can Brown do for you".

At the beginning of the season the Warriors named Jack one of their team captains (didn't go to well) but that's where the "Capt. Jack" started if I remember correctly.

Jack was captain of the Warriors in 2007-08 and 2008-09. Before the season began this year, he met with Nelson and they agreed to remove the title. The Warriors didn't actually strip him of the position.

stephen jackson's dad (frano jackson) was a musician and played bass for billy joel in the early 70s. franco had served in the navy during vietnam and often told outrageous stories of his time at sea while the band was traveling from one stop to the next. franco wore a white sailors hat when playing on stage. billy mockingly starting calling franco "captain jack" and eventually wrote a song using "captain jack" as the main character. unfortunately, the captain jack in the song is not a great character (see lyrics below). franco was so outraged by the song that threatened to "fuck up" billy. billy fired franco got a restraining order but frano eventually got billy alone and held a knife to his throat demanding billy stop playing the song in his concerts. luckily for billy a cop happened to see the incident and franco was arrested. little stephen was born while his dad served 16 months in prison for the assult on billy joel. while in prison, franco enbraced the nickname and the song and even went so far as to get "captain jack" tattooed on his chest. franco and billy even made up in 1983 and frano played bass during the first 6 cities of The Nylon Curtain tour, proclaiming "Allentown" as the greatest song ever written. billy joel became little stephen's godfather in 1986. stephen started calling himself "captain jack" after his father died of autoerotoasphyxiation in 1992.
