Default a Very "Larry Browny" team

I was checking out truehoop this morning and their was a write up about how dangerous a playoff team we are. Abbott also said that we are quite "Larry Browny" and used a specific play as evidence. Here is the link to the breakdown. Makes Brown look pretty brilliant

Here's where Truehoop is referring to:

    http://nbaplaybook.com/2010/03/18/th...-of-a-timeout/

    I frigging love that stuff!

Notice that this was a set play called by LB during the timeout. Boris actually does make that lob (you can see it clearly during real time) before TT even makes the move towards the basket!

I LOVE having a real honest to God coach!

Ha wow. I forgot the link. Thanks spec.
ANd having a real coach was the best thing that ever happened to us. I love being "Larry Browny!"

I love watching Bulls' fans suffer!

They have a continuously updated link about TT on the RGM Bulls' board, and for the most part they're really pulling for him to fail.

Naturally I had to post the link to the NBA Playbook site showing how LB is calling his number in crunch time.

To be fair, da Bulls turned him into SOMETHING and their surplus of capable bigs made his success difficult, while our lack of talented, long athletes was glaring. Still, stupid of them to root for him to fail, but I'd do the same thing if Ammo would've turned into a player in LA. I should reflect on this and work towards making myself a better person.

    Oh, love nbaplaybook. Great site.

They have a surplus of capable bigs? They've been needing a good PF for like forever.

They draft a "project", told their fans he was a project yet they criticize him for everything. TT's developed a good midrange shot but they bitch and moan about him not posting up more. I'd think his skill set would work well with Noah...but nope, not what they wanted. They bring in coaches on the cheap for years yet are surprised projects are failing.

Maybe it's from watching our team for 6 years, but it strikes me how demanding their fans are. Example...Hinrich can shoot 50%, have plenty of assists and play good D...but let him miss one clutch shot and (according to them) he had a crappy game.

Me? Heck, I just hope our players don't screw up enough to blow the game...I expect errors.

It really doesn't bother me what a player does after he's gone from the Bobcats. There's too many other things to be bitter about.

Good is not necessarily equivalent to competent. Gibson, Miller, Noah and
Deng are decent enough bigs. Tyrus has a higher upside than all of those guys. Bulls have needed a post scorer, KG or Gasol, but I don't think you could argue that Tyrus is really capable of filling that void better than those other guys. I'm happy with Tyrus here, I think it's stupid for them to be rooting for him to fail (apparently), I'm just saying I understand. Seems like he was a waste of time in Chicago and even if that is management's fault for not implementing him properly, it's still going to leave a bitter taste in their mouths. In fact, his misuse probably exacerbates the situation.

I agree that it's stupid to lambaste a player for not having the perfect game. Everyone makes mistakes, just don't let them kill you. There hasn't been a continuously updated thread about Okafor in New Orleans here or at RGM, but if there was, I imagine that the majority would really be pulling for him to fail. I think that's a pretty analogous situation to Bulls fans and Tyrus.

Yeah, but the fact that we as fans don't have a running board chronicling Mek's career at NOLA at least says something about us vs. the Bulls' fans.

Personally I wish Mek all the luck, except when he plays against us.

Maybe having the GOAT for all those years spoiled them...where with us all that initial losing made us more tolerant.

If we hadn't traded Mek well before the season began, I'm not sure we wouldn't. I know both boards have had threads created by an op apologizing to Okafor for being overly critical of his performance in his time here, especially in light of how disappointing Chandler had/s been. I seem to remember Okafor haters popping in to remark on some current failure of a box score posting. Neither thread stayed updated with what he had done, but the situations are a little different. Bulls fans had to "suffer" through another half season of Tyrus' failure to live up to his high pick billing/ promotion of great potential. Also, there's what... hundreds of thousands more Bulls fans across the globe than Bobcat ones and yea, winning 6 championships probably creates a different expectation amongst a fan base.

Anyway, I think this team has a prototypical LB feel to it. Defensive base that succeeds when we rebound, get to the line and make high % looks.

Some hold unwarranted grudges...some don't. Look at all the idiots on the Observer site for a good example.

Either way it seemed to me those wanting to track Mek vs. TC were more those who wanted to show it was a stupid trade...not those who didn't like Mek (not to say they didn't contribute to the "discussions").

A big difference between Mek & TT is that TT is still considered a project and is only 23 years old. Why would a fanbase be pissed at the player who was drafted as a project, the team didn't develop said project and then they dumped him for peanuts? Seems to me the angst should be focused primarily on their cheap as hell ownership group.

And people think Bob Johnson was bad!

I think a big part of Chicago fans' problems is they're used to players living up to high expectations and have gotten to the point where they won't tolerate less.
