Some of it is luck, but most of it is just that he is simply that good.

Especially considering the type of defense Jack was playing on him down the stretch, gambling recklessly and such.

The only better option (outside of the foul) would have possibly been Crash, but he is also more of a lane shooter.

Felton's defense on Crawford was tremendous. JJ just had a little more size and had gotten into a zone.

Nothing that Felts did wrong there - or anything anyone else could have done more IMO.

He pretty much blanked Crawford's last shot attempt in regulation.

What is with Jax on those steal attempts? I mean, I'm ok with you trying your hand once or twice, but if you miss on the steal attempt out at the top of the key, you BETTER bust your arse to get back on D - other wise you leave your mates playing 4 on 5.

When Jax makes those attempts, he ends up spinning around on the spot 2 or 3 times while his man just cruises into the offensive set.

I have a feeling that Jax is a bit of a cherry picker and he doesn't mind hanging out at the top of the key to leak out for easy points every now and then.

Yep. When a guy is strugging the way JJ was, you just play SOLID defense and make him shoot over the top. With Jack's size and length, doing this would be enough.

I honestly think LB moved Felton to Jack, b/c Jack was playing with poor defensive fundamentals tonight and he didn't trust him.

The coaches I played for called that kind of gambling selfish defense as you left your teammates hung out to dry if you didn't get it.

I watching the game at my girlfriends and wow were we shocked when JJ hit the gamewinner. I thought Felton had sealed it with the win but was telling her how its not over till the buzzard goes off as Murray State did the same thing yesterday. It was so upsetting. We had this game won, Jackson tooks multiple 3s in OT that had other people open and didn't even look. He also missed several FGs. Wallace also had an opportunity at a 3 point foul. In ot, he pump faked, the defender jumped and instead of trying to shoot as the defender came down he stepped aside, took a step up and hit the rim...

However at least Chicago lost and looks like Deng is out for the season even though Noah is coming back tomorrow...

Heartbreak when that shot fell. We did everything to try and stop that shot. But it happens. Felton was on fire today, had a fine day shooting. Kind of disappointed we gave up a 10 point lead, but oh well.

I'd have liked it if Jax had made those last two FTs he shot...and I would have liked it even better if we'd had 7-8 fewer TOs...but we played tough and the Hawks are a good home team...makes the Heat game that much more important...kind of an understatement...

I expect a huge effort from Ray and Jack versus the Heat. I know they feel like they let the team down and knowing their character I expect a big game from one, if not both (if their bodies hold up, they played a lot of mins). This game hurt but hopefully the guys can learn from it and move on.
