    Default Heavy Rain

This is a PS3 exclusive, so as a 360 owner I'm out of luck.

Are any of you PS3 guys picking this up? It looks amazing and appears to actually offer something really different as far as game play is concerned

That game looks great. Barring bad reviews, I'll pick it up and let you know how it goes

I actually can't afford it right now. I plan to buy it some time in the future, its not at the top of my list though.

Games in next order to buy:
    -Dragon Age: Awakening
    -FFXIII
    -Heavy Rain

HR is gonna have to wait for me, but my friends have said that it's like a enthralling movie.

This narrative style of videogaming is so intriguing to me, too bad I don't have a Ps3.

When I first saw this trailer I was instantly interested in getting this.

Agreed with the first part of your post, but haven't made it near far enough to discover the "origiami killer".

The folks who have given the game poor reviews don't understand the point of the "game".....it's actually not a "game" at all, it's an interactive experience that almost, not to sound pompous, transcends gaming. I mean, you get so emotionally attatched to these characters so early into the game it's unbelievable. In the first scene with the lady reporter (forget her name), I was terrified when the "burglars" broke into her apartment and trying my damndest to keep her alive. Not even frantic moments in some of my favorite games (Dead Space, Bioshock, Fallout3) can really compare and you only get more invested from here...

Don't listen to any ignorant haters out there, this game (along with the Uncharted series and GOW3) is reason enough to buy a PS3.

Is the storyline long enough to justify buying, or should I rent it instead?

I'll let Chrystos answer that one definitively since he's played through it, but it seems tailor made for multiple playthroughs since anything can happen at any given time (ie choices made, deaths, etc.) But if you don't replay games, I'd say definite rent.

The game has many different ending and you could do things differently when you play it again and again. Oh yeah, and it takes about hours 10 hours to be it so you could get alot of playing time out of it. In fact I got Heavy Rain when it first came out and I am still playing and enjoying it.

Admit it fellas. You all love Heavy Rain because it has boobies.

Now for those kids reading this, DO NOT GO OUT AND BUY HEAVY RAIN FOR THE b00bies. You can do much better than that, don't humiliate yourselves.
