    Default Member Interview: SWedd523

    Next up the infamous SWedd523

Bobcats Planet name: SWedd (that's one E and two Ds )
    Real name (first only): Steven
    Age: 19
    Current City: Columbia, SC
    Hometown: Indian Land, SC
    Occupation: Student

    1) How did you choose your screen name?

--S from my first name, Wedd from my last name

    2) Could you tell us a little about where you grew up and about your family?

--I have an angel of a mother and a dickhead of a father. They split when I was little and I've lived with her and my sister (6 years older) in the same house my entire life. Mom's a manager in a wood flooring company and my sister is a dental hygienist .

    3) Did you play in any sports or where you involved with any High School clubs and such?

--JV basketball 7th-9th grade, got called up to Varsity halfway through 9th grade and stuck on the team. Varsity soccer 9th and 12th grade. Cross country 9th grade.

    4) What is your fondest memory of your teenage years?

--I went on a weeklong cruise. First I went 4 wheeling and cliff diving in Jamaica, then sea kayaking and snorkeling in the Caymans. Greatest time of my life.

    5) What was your first job?

--I had a summer job working for my mom when I was 16 (and every summer since). When people order hardwoods, I'd go help deliver it. 30-50lb bundles of wood in quantities up to 5000 square feet in 90* weather. Not very fun

    6) What lead to your dedicated following of the Bobcat's?

--I grew up a fan of the Bulls, for obvious reasons. When MJ left, I kind of lost touch with the pros until the Bobcats came into existence. Rabid supporter ever since.

    7) Could you tell us one of your favorite memories of the Bobcat's?

--It's happening as we speak. WE'RE GOING TO THE PLAYOFFS BABY!!!

8 ) How did you find the Bobcats Planet and what keeps you active on the site?

--I think I googled "Bobcats Draft" before the 08 draft just so I could proclaim that Eric Gordon and Jerryd Bayless should be our targets. Everybody else wanted Brook Lopez. Idiots.

    9) What other sports teams do you follow?

--Tar Heels basketball/football. Born and raised.

    10) When you’re not on Bobcats Planet what could you likely be found doing with your spare time?

--Either the gym lifting or playing ball..... or sleeping. Life of a college student.

    11) If you could have one moment being part of the Bobcats organization, what would it be?

    --head scout/director of draft decisions.

    12) How many trips have you made to the Time Warner Cable Arena?

--~10. Being in Cola puts a damper on my ability to attend games other than random free weekends

    13) What is your worst fear?

--It's a tie between spiders and being unsuccessful.

    14) What type of hobbies do you enjoy?

--basketball, lifting weights, sleeping, and reading. I also google everything. I love learning.

    15) What’s your favorite food?

--Tough call. Philly cheese steaks, parmesan chicken with spaghetti, and sushi are all up there

    16) Where are some of the places you’ve been, and where are some of your favorites.

--All up and down the east coast, London, Jamaica, Caymans. They were all great. I love to travel.

    17) What is one thing you've always wanted to do, but haven't done yet in your lifetime?

--I've always wanted to backpack through Europe

18 ) If you could live anywhere where would it be?

--Bora Bora. I'm moving there as soon as I retire.

    19) Name your favorite 3 Bobcats all time and explain the reason for one of them.

--1. Ray 2. Crash 3. Raja (all lunchpail type guys that just go to work and play their hearts out.)

    20) Up to this date, what is one of your favorite Bobcats Planet memories?

--Every draft chat has been awesome.

    21) Anything else you'd like to add?

--This is probably the only site I frequent on a daily basis other than Facebook. Something about this place is just awesome and I wouldn't trade it for anything. It has been a little wonky recently but it seems to have died down a little and gone back to the best. damn. sports. forum. period.

Who would you like to nominate to be interviewed next?

    --BRNC gets the nod!

I don't ever comment on these, but I do like reading them. I enjoy learning about other members that enjoy the same likenesses and can talk daily on it.

I think Hendo is the next MJ. Clearly already a better player than MJ was at this point in his career. Maybe better than SJack. We'll have to see but, this guy looks like 2nd GOAT (behind Allen Iverson) material to me

With the exception of sushi () this is my life too. Especially the googling everything part.

Sushi is amazing dude. I was a little skeptical of it at first, but once I got over the "fear" and went for it, I'll never turn back.

Best part about Sushi is that it's relatively cheap. I can take my girl out to a nice sushi spot and we can get plenty for the two of us and it still be around $20-25 which is really nice while living on a student's budget.

As for google. I should be getting royalty checks for the amount of googling and wikipeding (?) I do. I found that I sometimes learn more in class just looking up whatever I don't understand as opposed to sitting there listening to the monotonous droll. Go figure

Great interview, just don't believe everything you read on wikipedia . Also wish I had your love for learning, I like to know things but I don't like to study 'em or anything like that.

Also, what's a cheese steak? Is it a steak with cheese on it?

Nice interview, I took a cruise way back in the 8th grade and loved it. You can't really go wrong with a cruise unless of course the ship sinks.
