Default so looks like Larry is leaving

Coincidentally squared, Next Town Brown, I'm informed, has received approval from Bobcats owner Michael Jordan to return home, home on the range -- Philadelphia -- where his wife, school-age children and the antelopes still play, to re-take control of the 76ers from top to bottom.

I presume permission isn't activated until after the playoffs, but with Next Town, one can never be sure.

well that kind of sucks....who do you think will coach? Phil Ford?

this is nothing new, mj has said that brown can coach as long as he wants but also would not stand in the way if he wanted to leave. if lb does leave there are plenty of good coaches who are/will be available ex.byron scott, jeff van gundy, doc rivers(his run with celts is about over imo) or maybe one of the asst. coaches takes over(dave hanners).

I've seen Peter Vecsey report many things that didn't materialize. I'll worry about it when Larry or MJ say it is happening. Until then, playoff basketball baby!

this happens every time LB gets to year 2 of his contract, everybody starts to speculate when he will leave, anybody involved in coaching or playing prof. sports know that sometimes your family has to give up alot, either way this is the perfect situation for LB(just not his family)

PhillyBurbs also talks about E. Jordon being fired after the season...and I'd say there is an excellent chance LB leaves if the Sixers want him...I'd want to be with my family also...

I like what LB did here, but maybe it is time for him to be with his family. He built up a good core here, and maybe we can get a coach that won't let Crash and Cpt. Jack burn out by playing them 40 minutes a game.

I just heard it on the 6:00 PM news. I knew he wouldn't stay when it came to light that his wife and children wouldn't leave Philly. His first children who are grown now, ex-wife and Mother all live here in Charlotte. It never stopped him from leaving them years ago! Just great that this is getting put out there right before our first playoff game. Talk about deflating for the team. This really stinks!
