Lets get a win! I have been waiting for this since the start! I can not wait!
Im actually predicting we win game 1 believe it or not. I think that ORL may think we are a easy team to beat in rd 1. If we can control the tempo and get lots of points-off-turnovers then I think we can win easy.
The whole point to winning though, is the defense. As I said, we need points off turnovers. The Magic have a great offense but they live and die on the 3 point line. Honestly, I dont think the Magic know how to feed Supergirl in the post when their three's arent falling either. If we shut down the three, then we could actually win by 10 or more IMO.
MY matchup analysis
Felton-Nelson: Nelson has the experience but I dont know if it really matter's with Felton. As we all know, Ray plays with alot of pride and he may win this matchup based on effort and hustle. But for now, Im gonna say Ray and Jameer will be equal throughout the series.
Jackson-Carter: Captain Jack has had some GREAT playoff games/experiences. Vince on the other hand, while he has had the better overall career between Jack and him, he definatley has not had the Playoff performances Jack has had. Because of this I give Jack the edge, unless Vince decides to show up and play like he was brought in to play like.
Wallace-Barnes: Matt Barnes is a hot head, get in your face type of player. If Gerald can shut him up, which I think he can easily, then Barnes will not be a factor. Gerald will have to be very agressive in this series though. He needs to get to the line as much as possible. By driving he may also get Supergirl in foul trouble...
Diaw-Lewis: Both players have similar skill sets. We may give the Magic some trouble that they dont normally see with this matchup. Boris is a good defnder and a great play maker. If he can be agressive, but not overly agressive like he has been lately, he could win this matchup. We hace to be careful though, Lewis can knock down three's with the best of them. He hasn't been hitting as much this year, but shooters can get hot at any time.
'3 headed dragon'-Supergirl: The Bobcats three centers obviously are nothing compared to Howard. However, he can be shut down. If he gets in foul trouble or is being fouled, he gets easily frustrated. Also if we turn or Three Headed Dragon into a four headed dragon, by adding Diop, then that makes 24 fouls to give at the center position. We have depth like no other team in the league at center and again we could give ORL unexpected trouble. I do realize though that our depth isnt exacly "skilled" LOL
